help with password

i am now using my new T665c with the old palm desktop that i used for my palm IIIxe, all data sync fine.

the problem is, the password on the palm desktop doesn't work anymore, however, the password on my clie is working. i am pretty sure that my password is correct, i use the same one for both my IIIxe and 665c.

- i am using the same user name
- i tried un-install and re-install palm desktop (didn't clean up those .ini file manually, not sure if i should)

anyone know whats going on??

A quick check. Passwords are case sensitive. Is the capslock on your keyboard activated?

checked, it is not.

i am trying to use "show private records" on desktop, i clicked "help", it shows a page saying that password is NOT- case sensitive.

i tried all, case-sensitive, non-case-sensitive, all upper case...
but none worked.

it works on my clie tho...

Did you install the new Palmdesktop for Clie version 4.01?

thank willie, yes, i am using 4.1, even for my IIIx

problem work arounded....

the password on my clie has 1 Capital letter, and it works on my clie, not on the desktop.

i changed the password to all lower-case on my clie, and now it work on both.

kinda weird.......
