Hi,

first of all, I'm pretty new to PDA's so I hope my questions are not to stupid.

1st
I've beamed a .jpg file on my pda but I haven't found a way to get it on my PC.

All I find is stuff to get files from the PC to the PDA.

2nd
I have Palm OS 4.1 english and would like to have it in german.
After a hard reset I don't have the option to change the language.
How does it work?

Can anyone please help me!

You can't get jpg files on your PDA. The pda will only recognise native palm files (.prc .pdb). For a jpg file it would only be possible via the memory stick. Transferring a file from the MS to PC can be done with MSimport: the MS will be recognised as a removable drive by your PC.

Concerning the language, I'm not sure. I get the question on language. But, you have a SJ22/U, which is the US version. Maybe that does not have the language options like european versions (I have SL10/E)

Hi ziggy,

thanx for your very quick response.

I beamed the .jpg file from a Nokia cellular to my Clie.
With AcidImage the PDA stores it as an .jgp and I can see it , too

I tried MSImport, but I need the Sony PEG mass storage driver. I hope it's on the CD. If not, does anyone know a place to dnload it?

About the language,
Can I just out a new OS on it?

Hi totoking,

The driver should be on the CD. As for language, you may be able to get support via a third-party program, but you can't change it in the OS. U.S. versions of Clie don't have flash ROM.

Sad, but true :(

(Rant warning)Can we PLEASE stop overgeneralizing?! "US versions of Clié" can mean ANY Clié with a /U at the end of it, including my "Jack"ed up SJ-33/U - SPECIFY WHAT MODEL!!! (Rant over)

JackFlash + JackSprat = FlashROM goodness for the SJ-33/U!

Thanx guys,

but this German Piloc Software does not support SJ22.
So I got stuck now with it.
I think I just leave it on english and deal with it.
Could be worse (french or so :-)

Once I dreamed of changing the handheld language too, but as you read some reviews, you will know you have to get used to english... it could be worse as you said.
