Hi,

1) I've been playing with Colorize 1.3 all afternoon - I'm running Supernames (on an NX70v) and I have no problems - it hasn't crashed once. What did you guys do to make it crash? I'll try to replicate...

2) There is once aesthetic problem with Datebk5 however. Whenever I'm in Week View or List View, the Colorize background works, but not directly underneath the text entries. This has the effect of making the text entries look like blocks, as they are imposed on a white background, while the Colorize background only occurs around the text but not underneath the text. Anyone know a way around this problem?

I was running NR Buttons and Supernames on my NR70 and as soon as I ran colorize, I started to crash. Especially after a hotsync. I also had a problem with one app icon (for Fireworks). I removed both NR Buttons, which I love, and Supernames, which I like, and everything seems OK now. I like colorize too, and I have the general feeling that NR Buttons and Supernames weren't too good for the stability of my NR70.

Colorize messes up WA Clock badly as well...although a few of the color themes display WA Clock somewhat okay...

Gepper, was NR Buttons causing any problems before you put on Colorize? I too am a fan of NR Buttons but have noticed some occasional resets after HotSyncs as well. Do you think NR Buttons is the culprit?

In Datebk5, under "details" for each entry, you can change the font color and background...I bet when you have the background chosen as white, it overrides the system background color. Try making the default background whatever your background color is. You may have to do that individually for every item, although I bet a template would work.

Another idea...do you categorize your appointments? If so, then under "appt categories" you can choose a font/background for each category individually; if you don't categorize them, then just set up the "unfiled" category like that.

Hope that helps....

We've seen this problem with Colorize, it's related to switching to 16-bit color. We've got a new version in testing right now that fixes this, and will be releasing it relatively soon. If you don't want to wait, you can mail me (ben@standalone.com) and I'll send you a copy.

Thanks!

Ben You guys rock! Not that I care about Colorize, but it's nice to see how responsive you are.

Shamrock. I don't have definitive proof that NR Buttons was a stability problem, but suspect it because of the same kind of things you report. So at the moment, I'm living with PageDn Hack for awhile to see if stability is back. So far (it;s now been 4 days or so) everything is stable. I intend to add back NR Buttons after a week or so more and see if I'm destabilized. I'm also only using the standard launcher at the moment and no Supernames. I'd like it all back, but I feel that one of them has probably got to go, and I suspect it's NR Buttons. :(
