Am I missing something, or do links in email not bring up NEtfront for everyone- All I get is an error message that says Clie Mail doesn't know what program to use to open URLs. Is there some way of associating the URL to NEtfront-

It works ok for me, but when netfront launches it says "invalid network settings"

The url has to begin with http:// and least thats the way it works for me :)

No matter what I do, it doesn't work at all. Links with http:// or whatever are just not connecting.

I get the error message "cannot find an appilcation that handles this type of link. (exg 1511)"

Perhaps this is related to having briefly tried WebPro? I'm thinking maybe WP took over as the default browser, but the default settings didn't return when I removed it...?

Are you using a modded version of netfront from ram? built in rom version? or is it on a ms or internal media via powerun or something?

Just the plain vanilla netfront that came in ROM.

It's the WebPro3 I suppose right?
That version changes some settings in CLIE, tuning WebPro into the default browser, so even after deleting WebPro, seems like some settings are changed. So ClieMail can't call up NetFront anymore.

I think Sony should have made a setting option within NetFront to turn it back to Default, unfortuately this just didn't happened. :(

I haven't came across anybody posting a solution about bringing NetFront back up running as Default Browser. So what I had to do personally myself, was did a hard-reset & re-install all the applications I had previously. Luckily back at the time, I only got the UX not too long, so the recovery procedure wasn't so complex.

Since then, I haven't touched WebPro3, but only got the WebProv1.1 only, since launching WebProv1.1 asks me Which browser I'd like to have as default.
1)WebPro
2)Advantgo
3)NetFront

(perhaps you might be able to try installing WebProv1.1 & see if it brings up that dialogue box & get NetFront back as the Default browser, but I haven't personally tried this, so all at your own risk. & don't forget to do backup!) This might be less troublesome than giving your unit a complete Hard-reset. :p

I've a funny feeling though, after I've posted this, somebody would come up with a simple solution about changing it back to default. :D

Thanks Eddy and Common for confirming the problem. I'll think about whether I am going to do a hard reset or not -- it actually might do me some good anyway, since I have a few other little odds-and-ends that I should probably clean up.

Or maybe I'll just wait until NetFront 3.1 comes out and hope that it resets the default. Plus maybe it will stop freezing. :(

Maybe Coma deluxe may be able to help you change default browser and mailer :)

Well, if you have the time, doing a hard-reset also allows you to have a fresh start with all your "soon to expire" sharewares. :D

I just realized after I performed the Hard-reset that all the sharewares that I have gave me another 30 day trial. :D
Not that I have much unregistered application in the first place though. :p
