Code Diver is great and has expanded a lot of my applications.

I don't blame programmers for no coming out with UX50 widescreen support immediately, but I do blame SONY for not implementing widescreen support on their standard application.

COMEON! Why won't sony give us a landscape Audioplayer? How difficult would it be to just stretch the screen slightly?

Why won't sony give us a landscape CLIE Memo? Fullscreen CLIE memo support was fantastic on my NX80.

Why won't sony give us landscape support for Voicerecorder?

My conclusion:

They are lazy pigs who rushed to get the UX50 on the market, and will no longer support those applications on the UX50 until the next UX60 which has built in support for such applications.

Reminds me again of my NR70v, with no built in support for hi-res+ applications, only on the NX70.

WIth these shortcomings, I still stick by my UX50 faithfully though. There's no other competition! Damn you sony for doing this to us! AHhhhhh!

No widescreen support from application developers? I have HandyShopper, DateBk5, ThoughtManager, iSilo, Mapopolis, PalmReader, Acid Image/Freecell/Solitaire, YiShow and McFile all having support for UX-50 landscape mode.

Megacalc should be compatible soon and I am still waiting on TealPhone.

You are right about the Sony Apps though. All the camera/movie apps support wide screen but not the built in datebook or ClieMemo, etc. ClieFiles is widescreen.

Besides, I don't use any of the built in apps anyway since they all basically suck.

Hmm...maybe some third party developers just have secret agreement with sony : Hey! Your UX landscape mode is so proprietary. If you add support for your build-in apps, we are not gonna support your format.
