After my last backup I got the following message halfway through the backup:

Unable to continue operation for
RESOURCE.FRK
( (0x2A0D))

It asks me if I wish to continue, I tap on "Yes", and that's that. All seems well.

What does the message mean, and should I be worried? Anyone? TIA

Do you have problem with restoring your RAM back from MS?

I finally just ditched BackupBuddy VFS. I've had nothing but problems with it lately, and it's just not worth the hassle since I sync at least once per day anyway.

Problems:
- It doesn't backup at it's preset time.
- I can't successfully restore a device from the backup.

In other words, it doesn't do what it was intended to do, so it's toast.

I still use the PC conduit, which works flawlessly.

I have problem with backing up QuickSheet with BBVFS and got the following message:
PBackup.cpp, Line:135, Attempt to decryp non-aligned data

So I just unchecked QuickSheet from the backup list. It has no problem since. The schedule backup, encryption and restoration work flawlessly. It restores my RAM as mirror of the last backup.

Restoration with HotSync does not seem to give back the mirror image of my RAM. Re-entering registration codes, resetting the system preferences, categories, color settings, etc. after each hard reset/HotSync are just a paint in the a**. It'll take me a good 1-2 hours compare to 1-2 minutes with BBVFS.

The key fix was to cleanup the system completely first before doing the BBVFS. I had so much junk (too many orphaned files) from doing a lot of install/uninstall apps. The junk had slowed down the system and gave me frequent crashes. Finally I bit the bullet and wiped everything out and started to install each application one at a time. It took me most of my week-end. Somehow I was rewarded by gaining 600KB memory back from doing this w/o eliminating any of the apps and the system seems to run fast too. Just my 2c.

Use JBBackup. It's great.

I used to use BBVFS, and it worked okay. But after trying JBBackup I never looked back.

Thanks for the link, lancelot, but it doesn't really answer my question.
