Being a former Eruware customer, I upgraded to the Athena America 2.0 driver. I have a NX60 and have been happy with the driver so far and have no intention on spending more on CF Magic or even changing over to the SonyCF.

The link to activate my software was missing but Nolan from AA was on top of getting me my code via email fairly quickly.

It may be apparant to other but when you are asked to enter your reg code, their is no "line" to put the 'cursor' on and type/write it in. You must tap under the "enter your reistration code" text as if there were a line and type in your reg code. At least that how it was for me.

Now everything is installed, running fine and the new Console (old CF utility) has new names ie. REPLACE MS instead of MS MASQUERADE etc.. I assume they had to do this for legal reasons with Amir.

But after all this, there are no real new features. Jumping from version 1.2 to 2.0 I really did expect to see some new features. Did I miss something?

According to the site, they said this version supports NX73/80..

I already got the file and reg code, but still haven't tried it yet. And I just went to their site, click to my account and got the new version w/ reg code...

I got it, tried it and I'm using the Athena CF driver. Installed no problem. I had one crash (everything locked up) already, trying to play MP3 (actually switching to different MP3 on my list). I get error messages and soft reset points switching between activities but so far so good. These minor inconveniences are ok to be able to use my CF with Sony programs. Generally favorable opinion.

I still don't have my reg code, and my email to customer service bounced--mailbox full. Does anyone have another address?

I was one of the original Eruware beta testers and the product was ok at the time. I had the latest Eruware driver until Pelaca worked his magic with the audio and movie players.

Does this new driver do anything above and beyond what Pelaca has done? Are there any advantages to this driver?

Tanx,

Greg

so I gather there is really no real difference from 1.2 to 2.0. I never seen a software version number go up and not be different. Again, I must be missing something.

I had the old one (Eruware) at 1.2 level - and the new Athena one seems to run better. I beleive they did some big changes to the code to fix things or smooth things or something.

Also, I couldn't get anything to really handle CF on my 73 until this Athana thing came out. Now It lets me use my 73 like my old 70, and I like that a lot.

Sounds like version 2 is what to call that.

I'm sure the code was modified but now it crashes my NX60 so many times that I've gone back to v. 1.2.1

I've already experienced some operating improvements with 2.0 over 1.x. AcidImage no longer has problems correctly listing the directories on my CF card. It seems more stable now when I've got the CF mounted and I am Web surfing too. Finally.
