Wow where did EruWare go?

I was hoping to get a big CF Card soon (like this weekend) and activate my slot with the EuWare driver, but EruWare has suddenly changed to Athena and now I also see a new product on palmgear called CF Magic 2.0.

Any comments on which is better, I kind of like spending $16 versus $27...

Also, will we be losing our CF slot on the next NZ if it has integrated Wi-Fi? I've read some discussion on this, but I'm not sure what the concensus was... I did notice that Sony made a huge move on there new Cybershot camera and added a CF slot!!! I hope they do the same for the Clie users...

I don't think anyone know if there WILL be a successor to the NZ90. As for the CF slot in the new F828, Sony is just recognizing what everyone else in the digicam industry already knows:

Pros use CF and they want to be able to use their Microdives as well as 1GB CF cards.

It looks like the CF Magic product is by one of the Eruware co-founders. It looks like a winner to me.

I have a problem every since I installed the Eruware driver where if the CF card is mounted, the JPG's get saved as TMP files instead of JPG. They have not responded with a fix for two months...

I downloaded the upgrade after logging in on the Athena site. There are free upgrades for registered Eruware users. I'm still waiting for my code.

The CF Magic looks nice, but I read through some of the problems people are having in their forums, and I think I'd like to see if the upgrade for the Eruware product solves my problems before purchasing something new.

Hi Tony, There is a website www.pdascent.com/forums that you can post questions about the CF magic products and they will answer you. There is a lot about both companies Eruware and PDAscent Inc. on the compact flash threads if you want to get user views on both. Also you might wish to check out the free driver patches (Pelaca is a useable reference) but I advise those if you aren't a beginner.
