I have had an interesting experience installing the software for my UX-50 that I wondered if anyone else has experienced. When I got the unit, the first thing I did was to uninstall all my previous Palm/Sony software on the system. I then installed the Palm desktop and rebooted. When the computer restarted, it opened the folder with all my Sony Clie files as part of the boot up process. It happens everytime I restart the computer. I manually close the folder and eveything works fine. I have installed my palm software on three different computers (home unit, work desktop, work laptop), and this happened on all three computers. The only common denominator is the installation of the Palm Desktop that came with the UX-50. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? One computer has XP Home, one has XP Pro, and one has Windows 2K.

Go to the sonystyle page for the UX series - on the top of that page click on Product Service and Support, then click on the button that says Launch Service, click on downloads then download the registry patch - I tried to find a quicker way to get you there, but it didn't work

This is a known bug -- there are several threads on this topic.

As norcalredfire said, there's a fix for this on the Sony site.
