Does anyone else have the problem of the NZ90 freezing up very often (almost 4-5 times a day for me) whenever syncronizing files with the PC? my Syncronization always freezes up at 'PsysDBlaunch' or some term thats similiar. Its a little frustrating when I have to reset the device so frequently. I seem to be using more of the 'resetting' side of the stylus than the writing side!!

thanks for any info !

ever thought of hard resetting? Sounds like you need to do some clean-up. Just reinstall your databases after a backup INDIVIDUALLY.

What does this DB belong to?

It's the cache file for your app's Icons and short cuts! You have a corrupted app somewhere, that's why it's hanging up!

actually, its been just a week since i bought my clie, and i had 'hard reset' ed it when i bought it and once again later this week. i'm worried about resetting again and wasting time.. it must be one of the cache file probs that Larry mentions

nijumania,

If "psysLaunchDB" is the corrupted file, just performing a hard reset won't completely solve the problem.

You may have a copy of the corrupt file in the backup folder in your "userID" folder on your PC. If you use BackupBuddy, you do for certain.

I believe you would be better off to manually delete all copies of "psysLaunchDB" on your PC, and use either FileZ or SuperUtility6 to delete "psysLaunchDB" from your handheld's memory. It's a copy protected file so McFile won't delete it. SuperUtility6 will delete it directly. If you use FileZ you probably have to first change the copy protect attribute then delete it.

Whatever way you do it, you can expect another crash right after you delete the file. But then during reboot, the file will be rebuilt, but you'll need to reset the special settings you might already have.

Good Luck!

Denis
