Depends on the format of you input video. Go here for some advice... www.halesy.com/vcd - I'm currently updating this but the information is still valid

Not using VCD or any professional content (except to test).
I am using my own AVI DV files.

You'll still need to convert your AVI files into a format ImageConverter understands. Try downloading VirtualDub and follow my instructions. The output should then be read by ImageConverter and so it'll go onto your CLIE.

Halesy:
I am still having trouble with trying to use the Image Converter pref from Hans with the English version of 1.1.
If I change any of the settings (which is what it for) to dial it in, I get the error I mentioned earlier in this thread.
I can use the same file with the default settings and it is fine. Incidently these are mpeg movies I am working with now.
Anybody else with these problems? I will admit that the results I am getting are quite viewable but I would like to use the standard setting and tweak it to get the best quality I can and fill up my 256 CF with one movie.
Thanks, Jay

I've been using the new version for a few days now without issue. But I am not using the Hans converter.
I've found version 1.1 and posted it on my website. This is only available while my PC is now:

Haven't go around yet to setting up my PC as a server 24 x 7 ;-)

Any idea about the sync problem with IC? I went back and checked my movie and about 20 minutes into it the voice sync was off. It was just enough to look like a Japanese monster movie.

Actually Hans's program is not converter, that is IC registry editor...
foest_noggle:
For your out sync problem, did you try to re-encode the file? Someone has similar problem (but in 2nd and 3rd section of movie). Try to reduce the resolution.
But I'm not sure it can solve your case or not, as I haven't such problems (I'd tried to convert Harry Potter 2nd movie (2.5hrs) w/o any problems..
