Ok, lets share some .mqv files, I know you folks have some good tv shows recorded, upload them :)

Lets try to keep the content to legal stuff, no pirated movies please :) Try to Keep them in the .mqv format for ease of copying to devices.

point your ftp client to 24.62.73.124
login = clie
pass = clie

There's about 30gigs available and you should be able to make folders as well...

I'd love to see some foreign tv comercials :)

What's your storage space? I've just uploaded one now - one of the free animatrix vids converted to mqv - into the "movies" directory, about 26mb. I also uploaded an industrial demo film by Infinity Sound Systems into the "Misc" directory - freely available from the web in wmv format that I converted to mqv - great vid and tune! That one is about 9mb. Anyone know who the band is?

So, should I quit now?

BTW - I'm using CuteFTP v5.0XP and it's very fast.

Got it! I also just obeyed the common-sense rule and renamed them to something that makes sense. Remember to rename them to the proper MOV0000x format and copy to your \MQ_ROOT\100MQV01 directory on your MS. More to come! I have quite a collection of vids that I have converted to mqv - entirely thanks to threads on Cliesource.

For fans of Star Trek Enterprise, I just uploaded the ORIGINAL opening credits' theme - I hate the change! Hope this isn't on the fringe.

Hey 21stcenturymac, how did you convert wmv to mqv??

I use a program called TMPGEncode. You simply change the .wmv extension to .asf then translate the movie to avi per this thread:

http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18262&highlight=seinfeld

Then you run it through Image converter as usual. I use this process to convert and store onto my CF card. You can also use the resultant avi from TMPGEncode by creating and saving it to the \MSSONY\MOM0001 directory on your MS or CF. The converted .mqv from Image Converter is a little smaller and good enough quality for the Clie.

NO!!!!! (Not that I care:)) The new season features a miserable pop version of the original - the heart-jerking solo version is gone. Worse yet, the original version would have greatly complimented the new "bad-a**" attitude of Captain Archer and the crew . . . but I digress.

Anyone interested in twenty years of Macintosh commercials and in-store demos? That's my next personal-interest set to begin uploading, but in the interest of fair space, I'll wait for requests.

For guys who Don't know how to ftp use Start - >Run - > ftp 24.34.89.44 -> Enter Use Clie as Username and Clie As Password. You will be in command Prompt like ftp> , Use 'cd' Command to change to movie clips Exact Command " cd movie-clips" Use "bi" and "ha" at ftp> prompt after that "bi" for binary mode transfer and "ha" for Hashes. and use mput *.MQV use * for th file name or mget *.MQV to download. Ya should see a nice Hash Progress bar indicating the progress.

Enjoy

For those who want a real FTP client that is free, try WS FTP available at CNET downlods here:

http://download.com.com/3000-2160-1572132.html?tag=lst-0-1

I use CuteFTP because I have been a regestered user for years, but this is a good app. Also, from your Clie, try VFSFTP, info from www.ninelocks.com (http://www.ninelocks.com). I have not tried it yet but would be interested in feedback.

Omniphil - did we already kill your bandwidth? I cannot connect either. It was a great idea, but one that had the potential for abuse inherent in it, though it might have been fun to actually get to that point.

To Everyone: continue posting to this thread with your support for sharing .mqv's and supporting legitimate, legal file sharing and I will see what I can do to set up a server for it with a couple of mirrors to handle the traffic. It will take me a little while to do it and I want to see that there is some desire and support for it first.

There is a great opportunity to share and experience multimedia, even your homemade stuff. It only takes one small forum like this one to do it the right way; to set a precedent for file sharing in general. Besides, we're Clie people - the personal entertainment organizer - this is what it was built for. It's why I bought one. A clean, legit multimedia addition to Cliesource would really round out the site and elevate it to a new level. It will never happen if it can't be done without copyright infringement or video warez, though. Anyone game?

Enough of my ranting - tell me what you think.

i don't know i've been having problems navigating through the site. I can logon fine using WS-FTP but when i try to enter folders I get nothing. it just stalls for a long time and times out. It was slow over the past day or so I think. I've been slowly putting stuff into the /misc/funny directory. Just some videos I found around on the Internet. As far as I know they are freely avaliable. I have some MPEG motorcycle video clips, but for some reason they are corrupt or something? Virtual Dub complains that there is an Unexpected End Of File, and Image Converter refuses to convert it. The video still plays fine in Winamp though... If all else fails I may just upload the MPEG video itself, since some Clies can play that format. No idea if my NX80 plays it yet though...

I believe some movie files on the web use a different type of audio compression which gives image converter problems. In that case just use a program like TMPGEnc: http://www.tmpgenc.net to convert the movie file into a standard mpg file and image converter will be able to convert it.

Egalus

Or make it divx (<=ver 4.12) and uncompressed audio.
For me high quality MPEG1 encoding takes much longer than hq divx encoding, so I choose the divx way to go.

I have uploaded Batman Dead End under the movie clips directory. All you nerds and geeks should like it. Its a large file (51 Mb) because its in super duper high quality, but it looks great. And if you want to see it off of the clie go to the link below, they even have a nice making of featurette.

Hm, Divx 5.1 did not work for me (still using the standard Imageconverter 1.0), it just keeps telling me, that this format is not supported, but as Divx 4.12 with 6000kbit/s makes no big difference to 5.1 with 6000 kbit/s it's no big deal ;)

i'm glad at least ONE person like the anime!! :)

i'm in the process of adding episodes 9-14, i'll have it done by tomorrow or the day after.

if anybody else likes the anime, let me know. if more and more of you like it, i will surely make time and get episodes up and running sooner. FYI, there are currently 56 eps and more coming once a week.

I tried using ws_FTPle, a free ftp program, but I get the same error. I tried not using PASV mode during transfer, but I still got disconnected. I tried resuming with ws_FTP but it says attempting to resume, then starts from the beginning again. I guess I should go onto trying cuteftp. If you guys have any other suggestions, it would be appreciated.

Well I can try. The files are about 5-9 MB and the video quality is ok... The audio doesnt work unless you have a SA10 audio adaptor or one of the MP3/headphone enabled Clies.

This is just a preview list

1. AE86-FC3S final battle-gMovie and AVI files-3.5MB
2. Celica GT-4 versus AE86 parts 1 and 2-gMovie and AVI-3.9 and 4.6 MB
3. Animatrix-Final Flight of the Osiris-gMovie and AVI-25MB

Let me know which ones you want put up(my ISP has a 15KB/s upload speed so it may take a couple hours to put it up)

Well I finally got the clips uploaded.

Heres a rundown of whats there...

1. AE86 Final Battle.pdb-86 vs. FC3S This is the final battle betwen Ryosuke and Takumi. Theres a lot of drifting but also a lot of praise from the racers Takumi has shot down.

2. 86-GT4.pdb-AE86 vs. Celica GT-4. This one Takumi races to save Natuski from Miki. First shots so Takumi sliding through the snow on Akina and the end is Miki oversteering his GT-4 and crashing, allowing Takumi to rescue Natsuki(that part is cut for space)

These are all gMovie files, not Kinoma. Kinoma v2 wont play these so hunt for a copy of the last gMovie player. Also, the resolution is a shoddy 160x120, which is the max. resolution I could make it in.

I'll be cutting more parts of the movie later on for the server.

Unfortunately I left my AVI source files on my laptop so Ill upload those when I get into my school network this week. If anyone is interested in those let me know(you'll need DiVX to play them)

:) i see you guys are starting to like that now huh??
well, to answer all your questions, i have eps 9 and 10 ready to be uploaded. in fact, i'm doing it right now. but i'm having trouble converting episodes 11, 13, 14 and several more because the resulting videos have no sound?? (i'm guessing it's the compressed audio thing) it's the same result for the new app i'm using WinMPG Video Converter. i also have ep 12 ready but that would just spoil it.
the type of .avi i have for these episodes apparently don't work with ImageConverter straight up, i had to convert to mpeg and then brought to ImageConverter (i'm using v1.1). so any of you guys have a good .avi to .mpg converter? i need one asap!

AE86Racer2K3:
i also have almost all the Initial D episodes as well. i'll be happy to upload them as well. although, upload speed is kinda slow and i only have a 600Mhz computer.. it may take me a bit of time to do so. plus i'm already in a tight schedule but i'll try my best.

Good to hear it all works.

The AVI clips took forever because the only way for me to compress them was to set Virtualdub to record in DiVX at 90KBPS, and that took forever.

I can cut some more of the movie up for the site, but you can also bootleg the full movie from Kazaa or iMesh and just cut it in VirtualDub(requires a lot of CPU power though) If you want to do it that way, I can post the Divx and MP3 encoder settings I used, but you may want to test my stuff first.

If you could modify the AVIs to make them cleaner that would be a big help

Why would you da that small bitrates out of your source to get it into avi for conversion with imageconverter, that's ridiculous?

As imageconverter itself uses compression with losses, why would you want to feed it with something you already compressed really hard (and with that lost a huge amount of image information)?

To get best quality you for sure want to give Imageconverter a file with best quality, so your result looks as good as possible.
For this you choose the highest bitrate you can set for your DIVX - yes, it will make your divx large, but it will also greatly improve imagequality of the final MQV file.

Downside of this conversion method ( I use Divx4.12 with 6000 Kbit/s and unompressed audio) is about 500 MB of diskspace for the avi for about 25 minutes of film, but as you can delete the avi after successful conversion I see no big problem in that.

Awesome flicks. It plays on my desktop, but when I try to get them on my CF card or memory stick, I get incompatible format. When I try to install through MS Import, it keeps going to the MS files drive instead of the MQ_Root.
1) Is there something about the name or etc I'm supposed to do instead of just dropping and dragging?
I've read the links on naming card root, but since it's already established from other movies, I don't understand why I'm having problems. I'm trying to drag them to the same directory that has my other movies.

Thanks for the suggestion. The original movie file(which I pulled from the net) was nearly 700MB in size so I was mainly compressing to save space because I didnt exactly know how PictureGear was going to convert the movie(and I still dont). I dont know if the ImageConvertor movies will work on my ancient(or semi-ancient) SJ22. Right now I increased Virtualdub from 90 to 240K with a marginal file size increase on the divx 5 video. Also, Im have started converting the audio from ADPCM into MP3 which has brought the size down nad sped up the Picturegearto gMovie conversion.

I hope to have the Celica GT-4 vs. AE86 match up to the server by the end of today

-ep 13 and 14 by tomorrow.

i see you guys like watching Naruto now, but i think i would prefer having one episode uploaded per day.. what do you think? it's mainly because it takes so much time using VirtualDub to convert the original file from compressed to uncompressed audio (Microsoft ADPCM) (about 30-45 mins) and then using ImageConverter to convert to .MQV file (another 30-45 mins) and THEN uploading to the FTP server which often gets cancelled and disconnects me (45-60 mins).

Imageconverter comes with NX and UX series OS5 Clies and converts the input (MPEG1 vide + audio or DIVX video with uncompressed audio) to some special encapsuled MPEG4 format (playable by quicktime on pcs). As I do not know the SJ22 I can not tell you if movieplayer + imageconverter combo work on that one.

But in your first post you didn't mention that you have the SJ-22 and your Avatar looks like an NX70 and that one surely has movieplayer and imageconverter ;)

From this threadhttp://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32328&highlight=Gmovie
I learned that some people are having trouble with Gmovie files if they don't have the original movie.
1) I have an NX70. What will I need to do to view G movie files?
2) Can IC convert either format since the IC file size is smaller than Kinoma?

If you are refering to my Initial D clips they are about 5-9MB in size. I also made conversions of the AE86 vs. Evo 3 and AE86 vs. MR-2 matches which I will try to upload.

try WS_FTP.. just do a search in google and you'll find it right away.

or type: ftp://clie:clie@24.34.89.44
in your browser's address bar and it will function just like a regular folder in Windows.

click 'connect' on the bottom left and make sure that you have these in the window that pops up.

-24.34.89.44 as the IP address
- clie as the userID or username
-clie as the password

that should be it...

when connected, the window box on the left is your PC and the one on the right is the FTP server. the 2 buttons in the center transfers the file(s) to or from your pc and the ftp server.

you'll have to wiat until i finish uploading. Each file is roughly 100 megs. To ensure that you don't download incomplete files, don't download the last index file. ie if the highest file listed is ep5, download eps 1 through 4 only as I am uploading them sequentially. I will post again when the entire season is finished. If there is enough demand, I will post season 2 after i finish with 1

I am currently downloading these clips. The problem is, I am stuck with a bunch of other things to do right now. If all goes well, I'll have the "enhanced" clips ready by Friday. If I don't, then I will probably have them up by Saturday Morning. And if I don't, then I can't do it. :D

Thanks for uploading those clips. For now, let me sit back with some popcorn and enjoy these clips.... :D

Have you ever seen The Legend Of Speed <--Hell Yeah??? I like the racings.

OK. Loaded a client and moved a test, but couldn't read it. Do I want to check:
ASCIII, Binary, Auto, or a combination: Binary-Auto or ASCIII- Auto.

Question about editing....

I can capture using a WinTV PVR card, but I want to find a simple to use program for editing out the commericals to make the files smaller.

Is there a freeware or less than $100 program that makes it easy and simple to edit out parts and basic trimming of MPEGS without being very complicated and do other stuff?

I have a Southpark episode from last night, but with commercials it is huge in MQV format. (112MB)

You can check out virtualdubb. I've been using it for years and I still haven't found a program that can replace it in any way, shape or form. Just google it or message me and i'll email it to you if you can't find it. :)

One problem I had, is after I edited out the sections I did not want, I could see that I could only export to a HUGE *.avi file.

It's not possible to keep it in the *.mpg format??

I don't think you can with VirtualDub. If you want to play with MPEGs then TMPEnc (http://www.tmpgenc.net/) might be better

Ok I finally got my web browser to work right!

in case you havent seen, the videos are up(if you have then Im sorry for letting you know so late)

Anyone interested in the other 2 races from the Initial D movie?
They are rather large and I do not want to up load them if no one wants them.

I also plan on extracting cuts from Initial D:Extra Stage except Virtualdub keeps giving me an audio decoder error so it will be straight video.

AE86_Drifter(or anyone who has downloaded the clips), can you tell me how the audio turned out from the gMovie files? i want to know if the mid-resolution is good(the high takes up a lot of space)

What ftp client are you using to connect? Most modern ftp clients can compensate for the short comings of the internet...

I had the same problem uploading my small 10MB video clips. Id say hunt down WS-FTP and if the connection drops reconnect and resume the transfer.

So its the Initial D Movie huh. I have the 650MB Kazaa/iMesh version where the audio is very low so I had to recompress it all over again. I wonder if this version will be any better...

AE86_Drifter, I dont mean to be a pest but are the video clips finished?

Someone left a Honda video file in the misc folder and it doesnt run in Quicktime or in any of my MPEG decoder programs. Im interested in whether it is an ad or a racing video and whther they would be re-uploading it in a usuable form. If anyone is interested I can convert the world famous Honda Accord cog ad into gMovie format and post it with the base AVI file

AE86Racer2k3,

Its alright, sorry for replyin late. I managed to get the clips into gMovie. The problem is that there are glitches. I'm still trying to get it to perfect, do you know whats happening? Thanks if you could help.

*It starts to slow down (all choppy) in the middle of the video and the screen turns all green with glitches and then it goes back to normal and does it again. I know its not the original AVI file that does it because I watched the whole thing and it was all good.* :(

AE86Racer2K3
11-15-2003, 11:41 PM
There are a lot of glitches with my original Initial D Movie file including parts where the picture would go funny and then return to normal. Also, there are occasional breaks in the audio on the 86-GT4 match which I have yet to fix. The gMovie files were created from the source AVIs that are on the site and there is no problem with the video slowing down and then breaking in my gMovie clips(none that I know of at least). If you could tell me which one if having problems, I can reconvert it. The 86-GT4 clip is in the high-res video format which may have caused a problem.

I will try to get the 86-MR2 match up as soon as I get the gMovie conversion complete. This one is the match on Irohazaka where Ken Kogashiwa jumps the hairpins in his SW20 and gets past the 86, only to lose in the end(you will have to watch to find out the end;) )

AE86Racer2K3 - I put the Honda video in there. Honda - Purpose... It was their CG commercial where a van was constructed entirely out of Legos. I didn't realize that it wouldn't play. I'll try to fix that and reupload it soon.

Sorry to dissapoint if it wasn't a racing video like you expected.

OK, the Honda - Purpose commercial is fixed and should work now.

I've just created a BMTTrix.com directory. I will be slowly converting an archive of their videos into MQV. I think that their (BMX Trix) Video server has been on/off over the past several months... I realize that the videos appear choppy, but it is a problem with the source videos. First off, they are .ASF, and second they don't have the best compatibility or frame rate. I had to go above and beyond to convert this because it crashes TMPEnc and Bink didn't like it. Some videos don't even play right in WinAmp I think. Anyways, I am slowly converting a few of those files for people who do BMX Biking, etc. Enjoy.

AE86Racer2K3
11-16-2003, 08:55 PM
Thank you for re-uploading the Purpose ad, I will download it later.

I have posted the 86-MR2 battle in the gMovie format. It should be just fine without any glitches like the 86-Final Battle.

I took advantage of some free time and downloaded some video files from Honda of the UK website and will try to convert them for the site.

Heres a list of the possible candidates:

The Original Honda Accord "Cog" ad
A video of the Civic Type-R made for promotional use
A video of the Integra Type-R also made for promo use
A Civic Type-R ad featuring Italian Moto Racer Valentino Rossi(very funny)
A video of the transformation from Accord to Accord Euro-R

Let me know which ones you want so I can post those first

Im trying to convert my copy of the Honda "Cog" ad from Quicktime to AVI or MPEG to get Picturegear to read it and convert it for gMovie. It seems PictureGear 5.1 and Quicktime 6 dont get a long and the converter crashes. Everytime I try to convert in Premiere(using a Divx 5.02 video and Microsoft ADPCM audio conversion) it crashes. Is there another program that can get it converted to I can post it on the FTP server?

Bink & Smacker Video Tools (RAD) can take a MOV file and make an .AVI if that is what you are asking. I don't have a direct link on me, but it shouldn't be hard to find. I used this for the Honda Purpose Ad.

Jeffdewber: To Play MQV Files on your Clie, if you have Movie Player on your Clie and have a Memory Stick, you would put them in the /MQ_ROOT/100MQV01/ folder on the MS (Make one if it doesn't exist), and make sure the movie files themselves are named "MOVxxxxx.MQV", with the "x" being replaced with numbers, like "MOV00001.MQV" It should show up in Movie Player and be playable.

well i tried many but only two were successful, Shaolin Soccer and Accidental Spy (Jackie Chan), if i had more time i would've had those unsuccessful movies working by now, but i had to return them to the movie rental store.
anyways, i have almost ALL the Initial D episodes (up until ep. 13 of the 2nd stage) ready to be converted and uploaded.. but converting both Naruto and Initial D at the same time is going to be a pain, and i'll get all mixed up on what eps i have to convert/dub/upload and so on... i think i'll stick to Naruto but i'll have the next 5 Initial D episodes up sooner or later.

UPDATE:
-Naruto ep 18 ready and 19 & 20 currently uploading

it could be from the FileZilla (FTP program).. it features resume but still get transfer errors. when i re-upload the files, it continues from where i left off, therefore leading to file corruption or something.. i know the files are property encoded cuz they work fine on my clie, but i'll try re-uploading them all over again..

Guys,

I'm uploading "Sons of the Desert" for any Laurel and Hardy fans out there (I can't be the only one!) ..

ftp://clie:clie@24.34.89.44/laurelandhardy/SonsOfTheDesertMOV00002.MQV

It's going to take a while ... the finished file should be 130,791,199 bytes (124MB)

I've not been able to test this file as it turned out to be very slightly larger than my memorystick, so let me know if you have any problems. (If the audio goes out of sync near the end of the movie, that's actually how it is on the DVD!)

I unfortunately lent out my SJ22 Install CD to a friend and I got it back this morning so I can now add-on the convertor for Picturegear.

If I dont get them up tonite they will be up tomorrow from my school network

Does anyone have any of the X-men episodes? Particulaly the two with NightCrawler (his introduction in the monestary) and the one where he finds out that Mistique is his mother).

I can't wait to get home from work to look around. Work and FTP is a big no no :)

I would like to contribute, but I have a Mac, so I could only upload original format and someone would have to change the format for me.

Could it be that he has an NR-70?

EDIT - Sorry, there are two Kevins and I got them mixed up. I don't know what the problem could be, unless you have movieplayer set to view Mpegs instead of MoviePlayer format

That can be arranged if i find the episodes off of eMule and iMesh

Once again I think the server is having problems. My uploads were being rejected all day while I was using my school's T1 connection. Im using their version of WS-FTP LE for NT and it kept timing out the connections. Ill try it tomorrow when I get server access and their WS-FTP Professional(worse case scenario is to setup a server-to-server which will kick everyone else connected to upload during the day)

Im sorry to keep everyone waiting

I was wondering if there were problems. I got home and have been trying to download Batman and browse since about 6 central time and have had no luck. I had Batman 80% downloaded when it kicked me off. Plus it is only running at 4k per second.

for those of you who are getting timouts from the FTP server, you should try this ftp application

http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/

FileZilla is an FTP program like WS_FT, CuteFTP, etc. that has many unique ftp features.. it can resume uploads or downloads if EVER you get disconnected or timed out, it also has a feature which refreshes the connection continuously so you don't lose the connection, it is also easy and simple to use that resembles other FTP apps.

i'm just bumping this link again as it was mentioned earlier, recommended for those who get timouts.. i use and prefer this over WS_FTP!! :)

i'd also want to see this, but would like if you can convert them in chronological order.... wouldn't wanna see the later ones before seeing the first

Also, if anyone else has any anime on their PC, pls convert and share with the rest of us :)

I just went through my PVR files and my Inuyasha episodes were never recorded. Im gonna have to test the scheduling software again to see if it really works.

For some reason when I did the Integra and Civic uploads they became corrupted and I had to delete them. Im sorry but I doubt I can get it posted any time soon because I have a lot of projects for school. Also, my CD burner went down on my older PC with the video files so Ill have to get them off by ZIP which takes awhile.

i need help!

i tried installing a couple of codec packs (audio + video) thinking VirtualDub would provide me with more choices for encoding in different formats.

the two codec packs installed were: Nimo and K-Lite. Now, i can't even encode videos! I somewhat fixed it to the point where videos can be played correctly through Windows Media Player 9, but encoding videos is still a problem. And when i try to choose a certain Audio compression in VirtualDub, it pops up with an error that goes "VirtualDub has encountered an error and will need to be shut down" or something like that. I tried uninstalling both but still didn't work.

Anyone got any ideas? How would I go back to how it used to be?

I'm in the process of uploading "SMB3 in 11 Minutes - MOV00001.MQV" into the /misc/ directory. I'm uploading fast, well over 30KB/s, just so people know.

For those who haven't seen it, it is known as "Uberleet in Mushroom Kingdom" or quite simply "Beating Super Mario Bros. 3 in 11 Minutes" This is an awesome movie, and if you pretend that you are acturally playing it..., WHOA! You will turn some heads, at least until the ending credits show up and they realize you aren't using NesEm or something...

Edit:
Virtural Dub is acting up, hrm? I've never run into that kind of problem before. I've had no problems with the Nimo Codec Pack, on default settings. I find that when you select Encoder and all of the other options besides the default ones it added a lot of stuff I didn't want. I guess you could try to reinstall the Nimo Codec pack once more, or see if there is a newer version of Virtural Dub. Other than that, I don't really know what went on...

Edit 2: It is now finished uploading. 15.2MB - Enjoy!

i've had problems with the k-lite codec pack as well. video playback gets distorted. i'd recommend uninstalling those codecs. You could delete the codec files manually as a last resort.

I use DiVX codecs that have never given me a problem (apart from the free version being adware supported). You can find the latest version here:
http://www.divx.com/

If you're still having problems then check out my instructions, they work for me anyway:
http://www.halesy.com/vcd/clie.htm

And I concur with Jookwarrior, delete/uninstall those offending codecs.

I agree with Halesy. All of my movies have been put through Divx Pro encoding and I havent had an inch of problem except that Premiere 6.5 takes forever to decode the larger files.

Ive never used Nimo or K-Lite and so far my Virtualdub has been very stable and very smooth. Its crashed only once when I tried to convert from Cinepak to Microsoft MPEG-4 and that was a bad combination anyway.

You could use TMPENc from http://www.tmpgenc.net to convert the files to a standard MPEG1 that IC likes.

Ahhh thank you very much! I am most grateful! This makes things a whole lot easier.

I still require instructions on how to use the ftp client. I would like to know how to upload my videos as well as downlaod them using that program, or a simpler one. I tried drag and drop using the web browser link that someone provided on the 1st page of this thread but that took 2 hours for a 45 meg file.

thanks for posting everyone, i finally got the error fixed!
all i really did was uninstall BOTH k-lite and nimo codecs and had Windows Media Player install/download the missing codecs needed to play certain videos and then installed the ad-supported version of Divx 5.11. now i'm not getting those annoying error pop-ups anymore so it should be all good.. i still have yet to test it.

FYI:
-Naruto ep25 is the finale of the 1st season,
-the new season has a new and improved introduction (very cool!)
-ep26-27 is combined into one file (only b/c 26 is a re-cap to what previously happened for those who missed the entire 1st season) and 27 is the start of the next chuunin exam! I was having trouble encoding ep26-27 b/c of that problem from before but i now have ep 29 & 30 ready to be uploaded. I just need to reDub ep26-27 & 28, and re-encode them with IC.
-These next episodes will be a BLAST!! (for those who love the strategic/fighting scenes! =) )

uploading of episodes will start tomorrow..

sorry for the dela, unfortunately i'm still having problems with VirtualDub in which i can't figure out on how to fix. it keeps saying "you don't have a audio decompressor to decompress the file" or something like that. So, i'm guessing i need some type of decompressor for that but can't find out what it is. i did a search and read a post from another forum stating this exact problem and they said to save the audio as .wav. then convert to .mp3, then rename to .ac3. then use it to dub with the video file. this process works but was much too time consuming so i decided to try and figure out another way. i'm being lead to the conclusion that i'm missing some type of audio codec.. k-lite or nimo codec packs didn't help at all but make the situation worse. is there any way to solve this? or any other codec packs to try out?

Hey everyone its been a LONG time

In case you havent seen already, I added on a folder for Acura-Honda clips and have placed a few of the NSX videos(not gMovie yet) I barely had time at school to the upload so if any files are corrupted I can reload them tomorrow.

Also my plans to tape Inuyasha have backfired since my cable splitter has died and I cant use my digital cable box until I get a new one. Hopefully Ill get it soon...

The episodes on Cartoon Network are what I am hoping to tape and those have already been repeated twice. I may get some import anime DVDs next weekend so i may run the conversion. On that list are Xs 4-7 and Cowboy Bebop the movie.

If anyone would like specific clips from either of those movies let me know so I can start conversions

Happy downloading
