Hi guys!
I m new here and also a newbie in the world of PDAs.I m thinking of getting a new PDA,and like many others,i believe, can't decide between the TJ35 or Tungsten E.
My question for today is,can i edit Microsoft Words,Excel and Powerpoint files on the Clie TJ35?I know i can view them on the TJ35,but was just wondering if i ll be able to edit them?
Or is it possible for me to borrow the Palm software CD from a friend who owns one and install Documents To Go 6 into the Clie TJ35?
Thanks for helping!

Why not just purchase Docs to Go for your TJ (after you buy it). Get a keyboard and you are off to the races! You can edit, create, all you want, on the excel and word side. I am not sure on editing powerpoint files, but I know you can view them with docs to go.

Well, a TJ35 with documents to go, purchased right now, is only $250 after the $30 rebate, which is about $50 more than the Tungsten E.

$250 - $30 + $50 = 250?

The Standard edition of DTG6 is $30, for working with and editing Excel to Go. I think both the T|E and TJ35 come with Margi Presenter to Go.

TE should be the one for you if you do not wish to spend any extra money buying editing tools for MS words, excel and powerpoint. TE has DTG6.

Hi!
Thanks!i ve seen the T|E here in Australia, but the TJ35 hasnt landed on our shores yet.The T|E has a plasticky feel to it and i like the slightly smaller size of the TJ35(the TJ 35 are almost similar in size to the SJ22,rite?)
Anyway,i was browsing through the internet for DTG6 and found some 'FREE download' sites for it.I downloaded it and obviously it wont run on my PC,so i m now wondering again if they are just time limited demos,or are they full versions? Thanks!
Best regards.

Yeah, but if you want Powerpoint, you have to get the Premium Edition. I have never been able to see the point of Slideshow To Go. Without a much bigger display and graphics, an no native document support, there's no point in it. So I'd just get the Standard Edition. :)
