I've been thinking of purchasing some sort of Memo software like QuickMemo 1.5, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations?
Thanks!

Thanks Willie! I think I'll give it a whirl.

Not sure just what you want to do with it, but MemoSafe is an EXCELLENT MemoPad replacement. It adds encryption that is seamless. It's fully OS 5 compatible, and is only $7.00 Only nit is that it's not HiRes+ yet.

But CryptoPad's got the magic word FREE.

I use Handstory as a memopad replacement (among other things!)
It's certainly no free, but it IS multifunctional!

I started using it when it was version 4.0 on my M505. Now using version 4.09 on my T665C . So far no crashes from this app.
What I really like about this app is t shows the first line of the memo even after its encrypted. The built in memo when masked, will shade the first line of the memo ,thus preventing me from knowing which memo is which.
It is fully compatible with the built in memopad.

Actually the Basic version of Handstory is free and it can serve as a memopad replacement.

try HPC notepad. the basic version is free; the paid version lets you keep multiple notepads and sync with your pc. It's execellent; I use it fulltime.

Thanks Beano, Willie, etc. I think I'll take a look at all the options that have been suggested here and then decide. I appreciate the inputs. :)

You sold me on CryptoPad. I've been thinking about putting a lock in some of the info in the MemoPad, don't feel like spending $$ for it, still like the simplicity of MemoPad, and have work around putting limited security info in Yaps. With CryptoPad, I don't have to limit my self on the content. This app fits exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks a lot williepalm. I'm glad I stuck my neck into this thread. :D
The Unregistered was me. I didn't realized it for not logging in.

williepalm,
Thanks for beating the drum for CryptoPad, it piqued my interest. I ran into a problem with the regular MemoPad where it has a size limit of 4k. Does CryptoPad also has a limit like this ? I need to keep a running journal of an event in my life (which incidentally also needs to be password protected) and it is a living document, growing almost every week.
Thanks.

Are there any MemoPad replacements that will read the standard MemoDB file as well as adding basic drawing capabilities (sort of a doodle pad)? Cyclos' Hi-Note comes close, but I wanted to be able to interface with the standard memo pad. Thanks

Pedit reads the standard memoDB, but I don't think it does doodle.

Memoplus does doodle as i recall. and here's the link to the pedit site if you're interested.

it's a nifty app that breaks the default memoDB 4k limit.

I also find Meteor quite useful http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?sid=68831420030210025201&prodID=14879
"Meteor is a note-taking tool for the Palm OS. It allows you to store memos in a tree structure (folders and sub-folders). Meteor has a limit of up to 32,000 characters per memo."
