Hello, Ok a small question. I have read on this forum using WiFI from say a laptop and then connecting to your Clie UX. I have broadband connection to the laptop. How do I then connect to my laptop with WiFi. Do I need a hub,router etc??? I would appreciate some help in this matter. So I do not go out and waste a bunch of money. Regards

If your laptop is hardwired to the internet you can use the WiFi in ADHOC mode to share the connection to your clie. make sure you brigde the WiFi and the wired lan connection. you also need to assign an IP to the wifi on the laptop
there should be more detail in the wireless forum.

Another option is to set your Clie to HotSync your laptop/desktop with your ISP's IP address. With this option, you can sync at home or at public hotspots. I personally have not yet used my USB cable and been syncing wirelessly since day one.

You'll need a wireless router with a certain TCP port opened (and your laptop/desktop online).

The only 2 grudges I have is it can not use dynamic IP name (ex: example.dns2go.com) and your desktop/laptop must be logged in - in order hotsync to load up. I wish hotsync was a service rather than a executable.
