Some of UX libraries are for UX only, especially Avx XXXX libraries. Better to try to use NX, TG or NZ one.
There may have some other libraries required:
Avx AACDecoder
Avx Core
Avx MPEGAudioDecoder
Avx MPEGSysDecoder
Avx MPEGVideoDecoder
Avx MQTComposer

Like I said I think you NEED to use the ux libraries because they share API's.
The NX/NZ/TG use a different set of API's than the TJ/UX.

OK, I trie dit on my TJ35 didn;t work eiethers, but my question is surley it should work as
1. Sony have released movie player for the TJ35 with the release of the clie video recorder i.e (PEGA-VR100K)
So therefore we just need to get hold of someone who can install it on the tj35 and have a look the the lib's that it is using, or allow a download of teh setup file.
Anyone out there?

Newbie question here:
What is the advantage of the Sony movie player?
Does it have any advantage over Kinoma?
Thanks!

CLIE movie player can play MQV / MPEG1 files.
I don't care about MPEG1, but MQV is wonderfull!

Kinoma CAN play MQV files you just have to have them in the right directory named correctly MOV00001.mqv for example!
tj35 can use tj37's software ,can't it?
tj37 have movie player too!
can tj35 use it?

I do not believe this to be true. Kinoma can only play files in its own format. You can convert MQV files if you purchase Kinoma producer but I am having trouble with it bloating the files so I cannot fit them on a 128mb mem stick
If you have had Kinoma reading MQV files then could you please post the exact file path and procedure you went through
TIA Giles

the forum will not let me d/l any files, says I am not authorised....
jaxdolfan

Me too. No d/l priveleges. Sucks.
I don't believe UX or NX/NZ software works on any TJ because the resolutions are different. YES, Kinoma video CAN play MQV files because the KinomaInstall.prc (or something like that) adds an extension and Image Converter allows you to convert regular Windows movie formats to MQV for viewing on Kinoma.

Can you clarify this!
Have you played MQV files with Kinoma?
What do you mean by (or something like that)?
As far as I understand Image converter converts certain formats onto MQV Format. This can be read by Media player which is not comercially available and only works on certain Clies which Sony developed it for
Kinoma reads PDB files! MQV files can be converted into PDB using Kinoma producer (which I have purchased) but I am having issues with it bloating the files.
If you can, as you say load a MQV file onto your clie and play it with Kinoma could you please say EXACTLY what steps you took to achieve this including where you placed it and the links to any pludins you added
Many thanks
Giles

you can install the kinoma player bundled with TJ37, which is a special version for sony clie and thus can play .mqv files converted from image converter!
Can you clarify this!
Yes because I have done it with about 6 - 8 movies!
Have you played MQV files with Kinoma?
Yes I have, I will post some screenies later... maybe.
What do you mean by (or something like that)?
I wasn't sure if KinomaInstall.prc was the correct name. Sony bundled all the software into one install .prc so it'll be easier for the users to install, instead of installing 5 seperate .prc's.
The .MQV file (after it is converted by Image Converter) is automatically exported to the Memory Stick. Image Converter does not convert the movie file into .PDB format, so you will not be able to install it directly to the CLIE. Again, a MEMORY STICK IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO PLAY .MQV MEDIA FILES ON KINOMA PLAYER. If you want to convert the files into PDB for the Kinoma Player, and you don't have/want to purchase a Memory Stick, you will have to purchase Kinoma Producer. It's pretty much useless purchasing Producer though, as it is about the same size as a 128MB Memory Stick.
I have purchased Kinoma
I also own a Memory stick
I have been unable to get a MQV Movie to play in Kinoma
BUT
I own a Tj35 and I downloaded Kinoma from their website. I assume that the sony oem version if modified in some way
Thankks for clarifying that for me
Giles
Sony has added a .MQV Plug-In in the PRC file. I would think that Image Converter is also modified. If you have a MQV converter, and would wish to have the KinomaInstaller.PRC, gimme your email Hrun and ming1903 if you really want it.
