When I try to connect my Clie to my PC via MS Import, Windows Explorer displays a new drive letter for my memory stick, but clicking on it gets a dreaded "Red X" and "Device Not Ready: Retry or Cancel?"
Sony support has me open Device Manager and delete the "Sony USB Mass Storage Controller" (one tech under a Safe Mode boot, one under normal boot). This usually works, but only until the next cold boot.
The problem is consistent across two Clies (T615C, NX60), and two memory sticks (Sony 64mb, Sandisk 128mb), so I'm suspicious it's something on my PC.
Here are my system specs:
Dell Latitude 7500, 256mb RAM, Celeron 433
Win98SE, build 4.10.2222A
