I have transferred hangouts!

I have just received my NX73V and will begin transfer of my 'comfort zone' from the T-Series forums (and my trusty T615C) to the NX-Series forums.

It's busy charging away as I type, and I intend to begin the migration process this evening when I get home.

Has anyone used the Sony Clie Migration software? Any pointers/thoughts?

Other than that... I can't wait to start messing with this puppy!

Ditto on the migration tool. But hey, congrats, I got my NX months ago and still love the thing to death and am constantly finding new uses for it. I wouldn't leave the house without it.

yup, i just got he nx73v like 4 days ago.. man its so much nicer then my old nr70.. i have been thru alots of clies to ipaq's.. t415, t615, t665, nr70, nr70v, and sj20, and lastly the ipaq1910, and honestly i think the nx73 is the only keeper, does everything i need to do, and does it pretty quik too, i love the black casing, trust me you'll be happy.. i'm just tryin to find a wl100 wifi cf for a good price and i'll be happy

When I switched from my N760 to my NX73 I didn't use the migration tool at all.

I decided it was time for a fresh install of all apps anyway, so I gave my N760 a final sync to Outlook. Then I backed up my user folders (just in case I needed to return to my 760) and uninstalled the entire Clie/Palm software package and deleted the folder as there were some remnants. (You don't want to have any trace of the old MSImport...it seems to confuse the heck out of DataImport on the NX73). After installing the new NX CD goodies, I setup to sync so that my Outlook data imported.

Since I was switching to OS5 I wanted to be double-sure my apps would work, so I installed em one at a time and expirimented to see if I needed to do any version upgrades.



Hmm...board doesn't want to let me log in today. No biggie...I hope the server move goes well!

BTW, does your NX73 a deep metallic blue painted case too? ( I dunno why they call it black...mine sure isn't).

Seems the migration tool simply pulls your old PIM data out of an existing user (or multiple) and put it in a new user for you (d'uh... most power-users can do that manually) so it didn;t do much.

Yea, I can't get over the speed difference this thing brings to the table... but then, a 33 MHz Dragonball is WAY back down the road. I'm also impressed with the speed things get pulled off my Memory Sticks!

Yea, I'd like to pick up a WL100 too; hoping to convince the office to pick up the tab!

Moparmike; yea... it's dark metallic something, and depending on the light I'd say either REALLY dark blue or black.

Well; off to keep putting my necessaries on this this thing... I've got a new air in my PDA sails!

BTW, any real preferences in regards to screen protectors for this model? I used the Lumitectors in my old T615C, and can't see a need for them with virtual Graffiti.
