I realise it does not have support yet for the NZ90 or OS5 devices but I am bidding for one on Ebay for my P800. Just wondering if anyone has used this keyboard yet with any other Clie or device.

I use it with my T665 and really like it. seems to work extremely well. Don't know that it will ever be updated for OS5 though.

Hi thanks for that. I am looking forward to getting it. I just hope they support OS5 soon because I'm not too keen on getting separate keyboards for the Clie and P800.

I used a Pocketop with a Sony N760 for about six months in 2002. Its small size was great for traveling but the tradeoff was the lack of a dedicated row of number keys. I found it very inconvenient to use a function key to type numbers and punctuation. Also, the PDA stand is a separate unit and not attached to the keyboard. At first, I thought this was an advantage but it turned out to be a great disadvantage. The stand is stable only on flat, solid surfaces. Don't even think about trying to use it on a cushion.

After I got an NZ90, I began checking on the availability of a OS5 driver from Pocketop. What I found was discouraging. There was a posting that indicated that OS5 was not going to be supported because it did not have the necessary coding to support the mouse function. Instead, Pocketop will be skipping OS 5 and going to OS6 support.

So I bought a Targus IR keyboard (don't recall the model number). It's bigger but it has the dedicated row of number/punctuation keys. The PDA stand is attached to the keyboard and provides very stable support even on uneven, soft surfaces. It's much bigger than the Pocketop but the larger size means bigger keys. It's far from perfect but it works well for me.

Thank you kindly for that response. It was very informative and covered the issues with which I was concerned. I am considering getting both the Pocketop and the Targus as I use the P800 and Clie at different times and won't need to carry them all together. I am also considering a UX50 purchase. Any chance of you remembering your model number for the Targus? I guess Pocketop going straight to OS6 will mean bypassing the Ux50's OS5.2 huh?

Sorry just to clarify, the reason I think I will need both is that as far as I can glean the Targus keyboard does not have drivers for the P800 and vice versa with the Pocketop and the NZ90.

The Targus IR keyboard is the 870. The updated OS5 drivers are on their website
