Thought I would post the following contact I have had with a Software company that claims that there software works in Sony Hi Res plus mode 320x480 but in reallity does not even know what it is.

Need to read bottom to top.

Hi,

I'm not sure what the Blue Down arrow is, but the graffiti area can't
be covered, it's a fixed part of the screen. Even an application for
a standard low-res Palm can't cover the graffiti area.

Apparently they don't get out much. Did you reply back to them and let them know that 2 current devices have virtual graffiti, soon to be 4 (NZ and the Garmin)?

It amazes me how many morons are out there as I read these boards. Though having worked tech support myself, I understand why they would think it is the users. But what amazes me most is how we are not heard. They just want to point out that the user is wrong, and that they do not want to be bothered by them. Why work in a field you do not understand. If you don't know what the blue arrow is, then you shouldn't be working with palm handhelds. You'd never find me working in a doctors' office, because I don't understand medicine, so why would I find someone working with computers who doesn't understand them. (And this is from a rather non-technical standpoint, it wasn't like your questions was saying you believe that the program isn't running correctly because of an error in line 454 of the coding!)

Okay, that's my rant!

Ive done helpdesk and tech support myself, and i can see where the person knows the software but not the hardware. did you explan to him what handheld you are using? that should be the First thing they ask. obviously this guy doesnt know jack about hardware, and only is there to help the product. at least you got a response, a lot of companies just dont care :)
