One of the best free apps just went 16-bit color depth. Not sure if I can really "see" the difference.

In searching for "Colorize" I found nothing. So I guess previous threads were swept away by the "Great ClieSource Crash of '03!" So for the benefit of newbees or anyone who missed it the last time, check out this really cool system color changer. If you're into "eye candy" you'll love this one. You won't even have to edit your "How much I've spent on my PDA" entry! :D

Colorize is great!! It can also be used on the NX to perform the same function as ClearHack or NoLinesHack on OS4.

WOW, just what I've been looking for.
Memo Pad looked SO boring after having a background image.

PS Is there any program that just allows me to have a background image? (w/o the launcher? I am previewing zlauncher... wow!)

PSS The colorize MENU on me cuts off behind the graffiti area... I just click on the edit button and exit and it appears ok again...

What a great tip! I've been wondering how to get rid of those lines on an NX.

A must have if you're a DateBK user! Brings some life to that dull (but great, but great!) program.

Saw colorize awhile back reviewed by the PocketGoddess. Have not had any conflicts whatsoever, and you can even customize your own colorset!

Love this program. And it's free.

Chris Antos (programmer for Colorize) actually wrote another freeware masterpiece called (if you have been living under a rock ;)) HandyShopper.

His latest offering is a shareware icon editor/manager ingeniously titled "Icon Manager". This is equally good as his other offerings. You can use it to edit / manage / renumber HandyShopper / Agendus / ActionNames / DateBk icons at 16b/256col/gray/bw res.

Give it a try, and if you like it, buy it, if not, still buy it :D - just to support his excellent freeware effort :0

No affiliation. Blah. Blah. Blah. Just a big fan.

Beware some apparent problems (http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3078) with SuperNames.

Ok, This a great app to change the OS colors, and they added the 8-Bit and 16-bit color settings, but you can not set more then 256 when you customize your own colors? Or it's it me?

Spoke too soon...Colorize messes up WAClock in some of the color schemes...

Beware-- there is a serious bug in the original version of Colorize 1.3 (build 5007) that was posted a few days ago (see http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3139).
Fortunately, the developer is great, and he had it fixed within half an hour of my reporting it with build 5007.2. It only seems to pop up if yo have an NX-70V like me. After changing to 16-bit color, if you do a soft reset you'll get stuck in a fatal error loop. The way out is to do a warm reset (reset button + up arrow button) and set it back to 8-bit. Then reset normally and get the new version.
