Is there a better way to send movies to my PC? I am emailing them to myself.

I store my movies on my Card - and use a card reader to copy/move them to the PC... Takes all of about 3 - 5 seconds...

6-in-1 Card Reader/Writer are the best & very fast in file transfer. Or you can use the MS Import/ DataImport that comes with your CLIE to connect to the PC. :p
Or if you don't want to email yourself, you can try smbmate, but that might even complicate things more. LOL :D

Thanks Everybody,
Would like to do it sans wires of course.
Guess I need to fork over more $$$ to Sony for a card huh?
Attempted to do it with Data export, but somtimes hard to find files.
Maybe a subject for a new thread, but anyone know how to rename files on the UX50?

Ok, everybody is talking about the Data Import function, the problem is that my PC won't recognize the format the clie has the movie files saved on the mem stick....it's .MQV.

DO I have to convert them?

No, rename them in .MOV and play them with Quicktime 6.

Or if you are too lazy to rename those files, just open them directly in Quicktime (select all files when open).

When I copy the movie files from the internal ms, they are named *.MAI.
These are not viewable in quicktime. They must be converted?

Once again I answered my own question.
The movies must be moved/copied from within the movie player app to the memory stick. They are then converted. Can not be moved/copied from clie files app.

Yes you can do it with Clie Files, .mai are movie "descriptions"...
Movies should be in MQ_ROOT\100MQV01
