I would like to buy a case for my NX70V, but would like to continue to fit it comfortably in my pocket.  What is the thinest case made for the NX series which will provide protection for my NX?

What pocket?? I find the NX itself to be quite big (quite an ajustment from my T665C). I ordered a Covertec case for my NX and it's just as thin as the Vaja I had for my T665. Still, I don't know if I'd recommend carrying it in your pocket. Seems awful bulky for that. (But then I carry a purse!)

Theres the inno-something cases which are made from aluminium with a neoprene. It shouldnt makes the NX too much thicker and u can still access the buttons.

Yeah I have the Innopocket but it still seems a bit bulky. It looks like the Ivolution by Vaja is the best bet for thinness. But really fricken expensive!!!!!

I think I'm going to go with the Bellagio. I know that the topic asked for "thinnest" but after everything I've read, peopel seem really happy with the Bellagio, and it fits in the cradle. That's a big plus.

This must be the funniest thread. The person who started the thread 'the slimmest case' ended the thread with this posting and buying the 'bulkiest case'.
Everybody in Official NX cases thread agreed that the Bellagio is the Bulkiest of all. :))

I just received my Bellagio case, and frankly, I'm disappointed with it. It doesn't matter about the bulk. I was actually willing to have bulk in exchange for the ability to cradle sync it and haul around my Wi-Fi card. Even without the Wi-fi card inside, the thing is tight when closed. With the Wi-fi, the magnetic snap rarely stays closed. It won't stay in the cradle; it pops up. If they had made it a little larger, it might actually stay snapped, and I'd be much happier. (I'm talking about the wrap-around part, not the part where the bottom half of the clam-shell slides in. Obviously that needs to be snug to prevent the unit from falling out of the case.)

Just my 2 cents.
Cheers!

i'm still a believer in the best case is no case. And i often do carry mine around in my pocket.

Enjoy.

I carry mine in my pocket too. But i have an aluminum case. It doesn't add that much bulk and if I fall or run into something it will be relatively protected.

I have a convertec. I think it is not small at all. But i like the leather very much!

I use the case from digital express, the leather is nice, and cheaper than convertec one. It open side way.

The best one I have found, and I carry in my pocket, is the Innopocket NX Series Metal Deluxe case. I got my for $34.00 plus shipping from Global Source.

Vaja ivolution. very thin but also extremely well padded. My NX fits inside like a glove. best case there is. but it'll cost ya at least $140.

I have to agree that the I-Volution is the best. I was using a PDAIR side-open but didn't like the bulk. The Vaja wraps the NX like a second skin. The leather is of a high quality too.
Although it doesn't fit in the cradle, I have a sync cable that came with my SJ30 so that's not an issue.
Yes, it's also the most expensive NX case so that's a major deterrent for many people. I'm extremely happy with mine. It has brought back the "wow factor" to my NX.

I have the Bellagio case with the belt clip, and it has a snap device instead of the magnetic one. It was a little difficult at first to get close the case and get it to snap, but it has stretched a little with use and it works great now. Same thing with putting it in the cradle... it will take a few days before the *new* material is worked in, and you shouldn't have any problems in the cradle.

I would really suggest contacting Bellagio and expressing your unhappiness, maybe asking for an exchange for the case with the belt clip (and the snap closure). I'm very happy with mine (despite the added bulk:)

Innopocket, it fits in your pocket but I am wondering if the cover flips all the way around when opened or if you have to hold it like a book I did not see any pictures of it in fully flipped around so theat the cove is behind the pda. is it poss? Frnacis

The Innopocket Metal deluxe does not flip all the way around but that really never has caused me any problem. It is a very nice metal case.

here are some pics of my vaja I-volution case (http://www.cliesource.com/gallery/showgallery.php?thumb=1&stype=2&si=rhart00&cat=500&sort=1&ppuser=5142). Very thin but also very well padded. and I was able to modify my cradle so the NX could stay in the case while charging/syncing

can the Vaja fit in your pocket I know it says it is 1" thick and I can visualize from thier website and your pictures it is just hard to commit to the money and have it not work out, I really think the point of a PDA is to have it with you not in a bag. I know that you also previously mentioned (I think)that you wish you did not get the belt clip because it was not the kind of thing you want on your belt.
I was also wondering if there was a problem with the memory cards and or credit scracthing the screen if you left it in tablet when closed? One more thing how long did it take yours to arrive? Thanks Francis

I understand. I was really worried about commiting the money too. but it turned out to be worth every penny. The craftsmenship is immaculate. fits well in my pocket but of course smaller is always better (that is why I said I wished I got it without the belt clip attachment). Unfortunetly, because it is so small ("like a second skin" in the words of klondikelip) there aren't pockets for anything else. I never leave it in tablet mode except when I am using it. It took just under a month for mine to arrive but again, it was definitely worth the wait. it takes so long because it is handmade.

In addition to my Innopocket metal, I have the black Vaja without the belt clip. It took only three days to receive. Like rhart00 stated, it is a beautiful case with great craftsmanship. It fits in my pocket nicely. I use it extensively and only use the Innopocket when I am out in the boonies. If you can afford the Vaja I promise you will not be disappointed. Every now and then I clean it with "Hide Food" and it looks just like new.

I forgot to add that I keep a memory stick in the unit all the time and the case covers it. I would never try to carry a credit card because the leather really fits like a glove. The voice recorder works fine without opening the case.

Anyone know the dimensions of the innopocket case? Looks like it might work for me.

Thanks

I use this bag: (yes bag)
http://www.epinions.com/High_Sierra_Urban_Courier_Bag_Travel_Accessories_Handbags

it's a messenger bag, so it fits wither my schools books, programming books, laptop in this sheeth, and the side 'phone' pocket fits my NX70 PERFECTLY. it was made for it almost. And for security I take the 'lanyard' and connect it to the convenient latch on the underside on the outside flap. It's perfect for anyone who doesn't mind a messenger bag, and likes to tote around their 'Art of Deception' wherever they go.

Any comments on the Vaja Flip Top Case? Will it be as slim as the I-Volution?
