I am a happy owner of a nx70v and purchased it pre production. I am thinking about switching to the ux-50. Is it worth the upgrade. For the price of the unit one could buy a midrange desktop computer (I kept telling myself that as I purchaced the NX). I was wondering if I should wait for the OS6 models.
TIA

Point is, none are pocketable like the UX series nor will they ever be.

poctetablity? that is so so true.
Also the usefulness while you're on a trip or something, you got Wifi & BT, what else do you need? :D

I regret the lack of the sony connector, no game controller and no ffull sized keyboard.
I regret not having portrait to landscape viewing mode switching.
I regret not having the standard 4 hardkey buttons so I can't play my NesEm or other games requiring the hardkey buttons.
I regret the tiny screen.
and I regret sony's poor dispursement of 104mb RAM.
then again I don't have the UX50 myself, but I really wanted to like it, if it wasn't for the shortcomings I listed above.
If sony can make the necessary adjustments in the UX60 I will have to buy it!!!

And I regret the UX50 in general.
It sucks.
If you're upgrading, go to the NX80.

NX80? Why not just same money and spend $2 on a brick from a local shop? 'bout the same carrying it in your pocket.

TIA Hey rclodfelter, if you have the money, I would say to go for it. You could always sell it off later if need be. Also, by all means, go to a Best Buy or a Circuit City or something and get a hands-on feel for it. Not until you do that can you really make a good decision. When I first picked one up (to try, not buy) at Circuit City I wasn't impressed--I thought it was too small. But after playing with it and then going back to my NX70V (bought just short of a year ago) I CAN'T WAIT to get one.
Enough blabbering. Go try it out...
jbarr makes sense. Got try one out. As for waiting on "the next" generation, that's not too bad an idea IMO either. But if you just can't wait :) then the UX50 is currently The hotest PDA out at the moment. Again IMO!
