What is a good replacement for the Clie Mail?

I would like one that can download the mail and obtain the graphics as well.

However, if there is not one whats the next best thing.

check out iambic mail, that's a pretty popular one... I currently use it, but I'm not that impressed; having trouble syncing mail from different accounts to different folders on iambic... other than that it's great =)

It works fine, but my four accounts are just pop3 ones.

I can't get it working, it just dumps all my mail under the "all" section.... I think I actually may have it setup incorrectly in Outlook.

In outlook I can only have 1 folder be designated the folder to retreive mail. Therefore, that one folder retreives mail for 3 seperate pop3 mail accounts. So what happens in outlook is it dumps all of the mail from all 3 accounts in the one Inbox that is designated retrieve new mail. However, I then have rules setup in rules wizard saying that if it's going to this address move it to this inbox, etc. etc. and I have 2 personal folders setup (in addition to the one that outlook has by default)...

I then synchronize with iambic mail and although I have three accounts setup (the 3 email accounts) it just dumps them all under All,,,, any ideas? I am willing to have a entirly different setup to get this to work, because it's really a pain to go through 40 emails in one "all category,"...

Thanks,

-Nate

I don't use Outlook and I mostly use Iambic mail via WiFi.

yea outlook is what's killing me, but I don't have a wifi card so.... I'm going to download Inbox to go by dataviz, but i dont know if that will offer much more versatility

i've tried them all i think and for now i think iambic is the best (until snapper has a desktop mail client (outlook??) conduit!!) then i'm all over snapper mail.

I've been using the VersaMail program that comes with the Tungsten and have found it to be really good. It supports autocomplete using the built in address book of your Clie and it supports fairly advanced filtering. I use it to POP one account and to IMAP another. All this it handles very well.

You can get a copy here

Does Versamail support MS attachments? Given the vendor, I know why they're emphasizing SD cards, but does it have complete VFS support ?

It runs from the memory stick and it can receive attached files from there just fine. Once you download the attached file, you can choose to save the file to internal memory or the memory stick. At least in the test I did, which was attaching the SplashPhoto.prc file, the file was saved to my memory stick in the Palm/Launcher directory even.

I guess I'll give it a try - too bad no trial exists :( - but I was a big fan of MultiMail which this seems to have replaced. 2 other questions: how big is it? does it support multiple accts' in a desktop conduit like MultiMail did?
As a general contribution to this thread, I've tried Iambic and Papi. I have 3 specific needs: IMAP support, attachment support, and SMTP authentication support.
No complaints about Papi . . . except it has no attachment support, and the developer doesn't seem to have this as a priority; but IMAP support is great.
Iambic works fine, except its IMAP support seems a big flaky - getting deleted mail purged from my server only works 50% of the time, and I've tried a number of different configurations

The entire setup program is 17MB. The actual installed prc is 489Kb. I uninstalled on the Windows crap and left the file on my Clie since I do not need any sync capabilities with my WiFi.

For that reason I am not sure about the conduit but since it is the replacement for MultiMail, I would be suprised if it didn't.

I am happy with the ability to check both IMAP and POP accounts concurrently and again the filtering is better than any other palm email program I have tried.

I just need an e-mail program that will recognize my 3 pst (outlook) files and synchronize them to my palm; or at least synchronize the inboxes of the 3....

You might want to check out InBox To Go for great attachment support since it just opens it up in Docs To Go.... Not sure where it stores them though.
