I have a T665c and have found a Brando case that I think I might love. Best of all -- no velcro. The only problem -- the T665 version is sold out. They do have a T615 version. My question -- what is the difference between the two machines? Would I be able to get away with using the T615 case? Is the bottom where the case would clip on different? Thanks in advance

the difference you would be concerned with for case purposes is the headphone jack and hold switch on the sides. A T615 case would not have accomedations for these since it does not have a built in mp3 player.

The T665C is about a thenth of an inch thicker at the bottom than the T615C. Sony's site doesn't say this but its true; I've compared them side-by-side. I've also tried to put a T665C in a T615C hardcase and it doesn't fit. If the case you are considering is a soft case with a bit of stetch in it you'll probably be OK. If not, you're probably out of luck.

However, other companies offer some of the same cases that Brando does, including ClieSource (http://www.glblsrc.com/shop/customer/home.php?cat=8). What case are you interested in?

I have that case, it soooo rocks!!! I have owned both a T615 as well as T665C, I am not sure what the difference is between the case is, but I know you will love that case ... It is awesome, I do have one complaint about it though... The high quality leather dampins the sound from the speaker, but aside from that it is just awesome!

I'm glad you love it -- I just ordered 2 (one for me and one for mom). I was so excited when I saw it because it had all of the factors I was looking for. I e-mailed Brando and they said that the only difference between the two cases was the curve in the seam of the case to accomodate the jog dial was slightly lower on the 615 case. Since I hardly use the jog dial I think it will be perfect for me.

I like that case (http://shop.brando.com.hk/oemclietcase.php)

Where can I get it? Has anyone ordered from that site? Is it reliable? I'm in the US, anyone know of a local vendor?

Thanks

I LOVE this case! Sturdy, comfortable fit, secure and not bulky. I am in the US also and ordered from Brando. Lightning speed shipping from Hong Kong. I received it in something like 3 or 4 days.

cherylmeadows2, what state are you in? ZapMan, how long did it take for you to receive your order from Brando? Thanks both of you CLIE'ers. I'm just asking 'cause I'm planning on ordering a case from Brando, but I will be leaving my current address in 3 weeks.

I live in Illinois and am still thrilled with my case after owning it for several months!

The case arrived approximately one week after I ordered it and I must say I am very impressed. The leather quality is excellent. The Clie fits perfect. You can tell that they put thought into this case, by including things like an indentation for the jog wheel. At first my Clie kept turning on when I closed the case, but after the case stretched out, it works fine. I highly recommend this case.
