Anyone already working with MS Bluetooth and NX70? Heard about some trouble and problems. For example no possebility to call from adressbook or no connection to NOKIA 7650.

Like to get one, but am not sure...

Did you check out the wireless forum, you might find what you need there.

Can't speak to the 7650, but it works great with my Ericsson T39 and T68. I use it to connect to the net and check e-mail over GSM/GPRS, and use it to dial calls from the address book. It also works fine sync'ing with my Vaio laptop over Bluetooth (3COM card in Vaio).

Wish the Microsoft BT Mouse worked so well :(

I have been using  the Bluetooth MS with my T615 and Ericsson T39m for about 8 months now. Smooth as silk; no problems.

Just make sure you have the right phone drivers on your CLIE. Check the files section at Yahoo nXtClie.

What is this "Yahoo nXtClie" you mention?

Just rec'd my bluetooth ms today. Is the light on the ms supposted to light up when its inserted? Or is the small light that illuminates whenever a "normal" ms is inserted supposted to light up when the bluetooth ms is inserted?

I've loaded the clie update, the bluetooth drivers (included in package), and the bluetooth updates. I am getting errors, such as one that says I haven't loaded all the drivers.

Has anyone else had similar problems? I'm beginning to think this thing is defective. Or maybe I am.

the little blue light at the top of the Bluetooth MS should be lit when it is inserted (and the handheld is powered on). i have had occasions where I have had to reinsert the BT MS; otherwise, no problems.

try reinstalling the drivers and related files. i count 9 of them altogether,

I guess it is fair for me to say that my BT stick is defective then. No light comes on at all to register insertion, but card info indicates a card is present with no info...

sounds more like a software problem. did you try reinstalling the drivers etc.?

had same problem. your BT stick isn't defective it must be a software problem. on my nx i use the german language and when i updated the BT driver, which is in english, there were 2 files of i think BtTransportBts. i deleted one with filez, after it worked properly.
i think you must try to delete and then reinstall the drivers. but remember to do a backup firts! because it is possible that you have to do a hard reset after deleting, like it happend in my case.

Ack!  I'm not looking forward to potentially having to do a hard reset, but I'll give it a try.

So to be sure, the blue light not coming on is due to drivers and not hardware?  I guess that makes some sense, because when I installed it on a friend's S330, the MS reading light came on, but no bluelight....

I had the same problem. I loaded the drivers that came on the CD first. I couldn't delete all of them and had to do a hard reset and then load the OS5 Bluetooth drivers. It works great now with my SE T68i.

Dang!  That's exactly what I did.  Applied the drivers from the CD, then updated OS 5.0 and then the updated drivers.

I so do not want to do a hard reset, but it looks like I don't have much of a choice.

You can check out the nXtClie site here:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nXtClieClub

It's a yahoo-geocities BB with a fairly extensive file section.

I have download the files at nxtclieclub and got the files loaded from phone.zip but I still can get the address book to dial. I can connect to the web via bluetooth and send email but not get the addressbook to dial on the nx70v. Can someone who is dialing please list how they do it ( I have a t68i

Thanks

there is no need to use the NX70.... if you have the NR70V, you need a phone driver. but if you have the OS5 (NX70), you only need the Bluetooth Drivers from Sony, but only the version 2.0 is compatible!

not sure you can dial from the native address book. i'm using agendus, which allows you to do it. there is also a freeware program called "quickdial" that will dial the phone from your PDA. (i can't remember whether it also looks up the number or whether I used it in conjunction with callookup da [that's "desk accessory"]). The quickdial site is http://www.tipware.de/english/main/main.html

Don't know if it is OS 5, though.

It looks as if nothing works on the 0s5 nx70v for dialing I tried quickdial and doesn't work and also agendus does not dial

Thanks

sorry to hear that. you checked the pulldown menu and there's no command for "Dial"? 'cause i was playing around with mine and just realized that Agendus seems to have added a "Dial" command (also / I) even in the native Palm address book.

i'd let Agendus know. perhaps it's a bug they can fix.

Is there any OS 5.0 updated software? Where can I have it?

I tested with a friendīs 7650 and was able to make a connection with no problems.

You can get the updated OS5 drivers (Bluetooth version 2.0) from this website:

It looks like you have a NX70V/U (U is for USA) since you live in Michigan.

I get a mssg saying 'This applicationis incompatible with this version of PAlm OS (3402) [Bluetooth]'

How exactly did you proceed to update the BT drivers??

Thanks

Bless you, I had been installing and uninstalling all day until I saw this. That one file did the trick. I guess I must have chosen wisely as I didn't have to do a hard reset. That little light coming on made me very happy...

Thanks!
