GOt the PEG-NX70V. WOrks great. However is there something wrong with the placement of the ears on mh head ? Or is there a design reason on the supplied headphone/earbuds whe the lead to the left earbud is very short from the "split point" (maybe 3 inches) whereas the lead to the right earpiece is more like 18 inches. SOny just sent a replacement and it is exactly the same.

it's intentional. It eliminates the scenario where the headphone wire hangs down your chest and gets caught on stuff as you move around. It's standard Sony design.

Its actually by design. Sony has done this in the past with alot of their portable audio units. it actually works better this way since you're probably never going to hold the unit right in the middle of your body, it'll be off to one side or the other, either in a pocket or your hand.

i suggest putting the other wire behind the back of your head, not sure if that was commone sense to others, but i kinda just figured out that that works best a lil bit ago. But i'm off to find some better headphones, cause these "buds" just don't cut it for me. But man, the NX puts out good sound doesn't it? I feel bad for those TT users!! They are missin out!
Enjoy.

Yeha the purpose is to have the wire behind your head. Its inspired by the street design headphones but only in earbud form.

I assume that any standard (mini headphone) plug will work with the Clie headphone adaptor??

Take a look at the Sennheiser HD280 Pro's. Really good sound, plus they're sealed. Impedance is only 64 ohms, so your NX can easily drive them. The best part is that they're half-price at headphone.com :D

I replaced the original equipment headphones that came with my NX with these sony earbud style headphones (fontopia headphones (http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=50vO6FR4hsXO3mo7GWnE4xtpKD5Krdgkj0U=?CatalogCategoryID=lwkKC0%2eNncYAAADzaeZwtDfx&ProductID=v0YKC0%2eN65wAAADz1%2eJwtDf1&Dept=acc)). Most earbud headphones aren't very comfortables in my ears but these are more comfortable than sticking cotton balls in my ears! And the sound quality on them is incredible. It is hard to believe sound that good comes out of earbud headphones. A bit expensive but worth every penny. I use them on my mp3 players also.

Yes rhart00 - I love my new fontopia headphones and also find the quality and comfort to be superb. Highly recommend if you want something as small as possible, yet much better than those supplied. By the way I was surprised to find these also have one side longer than the other...same design as the Clie supplied headphones.

Anyone know what the impedance of the supplied Sony earphones is? (NX70 if that's relevant)
I want to buy some replacement earbuds for use when my Koss SportaPro's aren't convenient.

I want to listen to MP3's on my NX70V, but ive heard that you only need a MagicGate stick if you want to lsten to AAC files - so if I only want to listen to MP3's is a standard purple 128MB stick fine?

Yes, the standard purple stick is fine for Mp3. Just load them in the
/Palm/Programs/MSAUDIO folder.

I just bought the EX51LP headphones, and the sound is pretty good, and they are comfortable too!
my question relates to what was discussed earlier about the annyoing wiring. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to handle the cord on the headphones while running, or working out? Should I tie the cord together, is there another way to make them less obtrusive i guess? (even though, this isn't a huge problem, i just want to know if any of you have any suggestions)

today I used the string tie to tie the cord to a smaller length, does anyone get that to work well?

Sony design their earbud headphone with one wire longer to pass one earbud to your friend sit aside (ex. in a school bus) and be able to keep the player in your hand.
