Hey everyone,

I need to purchase a new memory stick. I was wondering if the video performance of the memory stick pro was really that good. The regular memory stick price is conciderably less. will I sacrifice too much by going with the regular stick?
Any thoughts?

Thanks

I'm using MGMS 64MB and MSPRO 512MB. Although VFS performance showing MSPRO is faster, I can't see there are huge differences when playing video in MoviePlayer.

But as you know that MSPRO has larger capacity, if you always viewing movies (more than 1hr), then MSPRO is better as it can keeps whole movies in 1 stick (of course, 512MB or larger MSPRO).

Another alternative is using CF (if CF slot avaliable model). But CF has some problems in playing movies.

You need to make decision by yourself, such as budget, usage, etc...

MSPro's main advantage is more capacity. Its only noticably faster on MSPRO native clies like the NX73/80 UX and TJ series.

No. :)
Actually if 256MB is enough capacity for your need, then you might want to consider a 256MS selectable, or just a regular 128MB by all means, there're no substantial impact on speed least by my limited usage. :p
