I was just playing aroudn with the PDA's at the store. And it could be just those demo ones, but the clie digitizers SUCK compared to the palm. I press RIGHT on teh button and it doesnt work. However, I played with the palm, and it just seemed so nice compared to the clies, cause I touch the screen and its just nice to have an instant response from the pda. But then again... the demos can just be really bad. Anyone else seem to notice these problems? And the clie's digitizer that was really bad was the NZ90V, and teh TG50 wasnt much better. But all teh palms responded really nicely.

The NX80V has had digitizer problems. You have to press really hard to get things to register. Hopefully Sony will solve this problem on future Clies.

Should also make sure the digitizer is calibrated correctly. One time I got to the welcome screen where you have to calibrate it, and I remember just tapping wherever, and then I wondered why my screen wasn't responding correctly :p

THATS CALABIRATING IT?!?!? HAHHAHA, i did that and i thought it might have been calabirating it
I hate the digitizer on the NX80, but my NR was probably the best of any PDA I've owned. Can't speak for the other models, but I don't think it's a total lack of quality on all Clies.

I don't think so either. I think only the NX80V is screwed up. I've just learned to press harder.:)

well, i guess it was just the devices at the store
but still, compared to the palms digitizer, the clies seemed to of really sucked.. i had to try and press it several times before I hit the button, even on the TG50. And even when I tried to hit it RIGHT ON, it didnt work, and often I had to do it to the left a bit or to the right of the actual button for it to work. Just wondering, the palms felt really nice though, instant reaction everytime
maybe I might get a palm next time.. I just dont wanna waste my kb100 keyboard

Left or right? They need callibration. The palms would do the same if they werent callibrated for a while.

I found my NX80v needs extra pressure than what my NX70v needed. Then again, the NX70v was easily the most hypersensitive digitizer I've ever experienced, so maybe it's a bit unfair on the NX80v. Seems fine now that I've had plenty of time to adjust.

My NX80 needs calibrating every two days and the pressure needed to write with graffiti is rediculous. Every other Clie I have owned has been excellent for this.

Wow!! That is bad, Shaun. You might want to call Sony about that. Or have you done so already??
