View Full Version : Palm Note Pad 1.7 availability
I've checked the threads on this but have one question. Seeing as it seems that Palm make the Notepad (and Expense etc.) software available to third party manufacturers and it's their choice to include it or not.
Is it legal to install the apps (Notepad I'm particularly interested in) when owning a Clie as it was not included in the software bundle... ie. is it effectively free to an owner of a Palm OS device?
Thanks
Paul

Install "filez" on a "Notepad" & "Expense" equipped Palm device and simply BEAM the applications file by file over to your Clie....now you have expense AND notepad!

Thanks ... I understand the mechanics ... it's the legality of doing it that I'm mainly concerned about. :)

I don't think it's legal.
There are alot of freeware applicatins that do exactly what these apps do. I would stop by freewarepalm - but watch out for those Active X applets!

Overwrite Clie desktop with Palm 4.1 which also allow for "expense" sync. You can download Palm Desktop free form their site.
