Heavy users please assist me!

I accidentally moved the UX Audioplayer to Rom in my NX70V. Jackflash crashed and I reseted the device, then the Audioplayer was gone. I reinstalled it, but now whenever I try to run it -or the NX audioplayer, which is still in rom- I get a message that says "a software library required for this application is missing, or this device does not support memory stick media".

I believe the missing library is something called "mp3 decoder library" or something like that, I remember I used to have one but it is not in the clié anymore... could it be that jackflash tried to move that library and lost it? I've lost files before when using jackflash...

I'm afraid in the process something was lost in the ROM memory, some component. And because it was in ROM memory, it doesn't appear in my backups...

I have Hard-reseted the unit, and it works well until I restore any backup, then it continues with the same error...

Any Idea what this component might be?

Thanks

Don't install any backups.

Re-install from scratch.

OK, here's another method that might work... go to your MS, and remove all files that are related to the AudioPlayer, both NX and UX versions including preference files, and do a backup after that. Since your NX audioplayer works after a hard reset, no ROM files should have been affected. You can proceed to try installing back the Ux AudioPlayer after completing what I've mentioned above.

Do you know, when you disassemble something, put it together again, and end up with your "whatever" working and a bunch of screws you don't know where you got from?

Well, I ended reinstalling all my apps from scratch. Everything works fine now. And I've ended with NO APPS IN RAM AT ALL EXCEPT AVANTGO and some minor databases, VG skins, etc... ALMOST 8 MB FREE!!! I was down to 3 before my "disaster"...

Sometimes it is good to have a major crash from time to time...
