First off, accept my apologies if this has been covered before but I can't search the forum since all the data was lost.

I installed Palm Reader on my memory stick. I already had Mobipocket and Adobe Acrobat e-reader on there along with a bunch of e-books. I know the Palm Reader is on there because I see it on MS Gate but I can't access it. When I moved it to the internal memory, it shows up on the screen, fully acessible.

How so I access it on the stick?

Many thanks...

Put it in Palm/Launcher directory of your MS. The books can be put in Palm/Books.

Unless you have a 3rd party Launcher like Yishow or Zlauncher, otherwise, you will have to tap on the upper right hand corner and select "memory stick" if you're using the default Launcher.

Thanks guys for the replies......

I don't know what I did, but somehow I got the PalmReader Icon to show up. I tried shuffling it around on MS Gate but that didn't work so then I tried moving from the internal memory apps to the stick through the main menu and it worked!

I could be dangerous if I keep this up......;)

That is the bad thing about MSGate. You can't move file around from one directory to another in the stick (MS). That is why I use McFile or FileZ for that purpose.

You may have moved the PalmReader.prc to a wrong MS directory. It happened to me after transferring MP3 from PC to MS. I basically have Palm/Programs/MSAudio directory open in MS. When I moved an app from the internal memory (RAM) to MS afterwards, the app went to that MSAudio directory, so no icon was shown in the card category.

To fix this problem with MSGate was to move the app back to RAM, open the Palm/Launcher directory in MS, and then go the the RAM folder and move the app back to MS, which is what you did.

This happened before I have 3rd party Launcher. Like williepalm said, a third party launcher fixes this problem. I use MegaLauncher, which makes it very easy to move app from RAM to MS or vice versa in 3 easy taps. Just tap and hold the icon to popup "Application operations" window, tap MS button to popup "Copy appl. to memory" window, tap "Move" button, and the app will show up in the same place as before except it has a dot next to the name to signify that it is now in MS. I don't have (and need to have) card category anymore. The apps in MS and in RAM are blend in together in the same category.
