Hey thanks for the heads up. I just ordered one.
This will be my first 512M to add to a stack of 256M CF cards. I'm curious to see how it will work out with movies and music.

I received my SimpleTech 512M CF card. I tried a Standard conversion of the movie "Sabrina" and it worked fine. Now I have over 10 hours of music on it! It works great. Thanks again for the heads up on the Amazon deal. (hope the rebate works!)

Be careful with the free shipping... I ordered a compact flash card from amazon with the free shipping a couple of months ago. There was also a mail-in rebate that stipulated that you had to have it postmarked within 14 days of sale. Well, via the free shipping my CF card showed up 14 days after I ordered it (yes, a full two weeks to get my order from Amazon), which negated the rebate. It was a $25 rebate, but it would have only cost me $6 to get it shipped in 5-7 days. I learned my lesson.

Right tprime76 I normally use the free shipping from Amazon.com and did on this order too. Fortunately Amazon.com shipped earlier than their projected date (today actually) and well within the rebate period.

I've had pretty good luck with rebates and I am very careful when I put together the requirements for the rebate. A few months ago I received a letter from one company stating I had not included the bar code. I'm sure I always include the bar code so, since it was nearly two months since I sent it in and I no longer had the bar code, I was out $20. For the most part the rebates are good deals. From now on I'm going to scotch tape the bar code to the rebate form.
