Can't delete files on MS

I moved a number of mp3 files to my memory stick, but when I try to delete them (using Clie Files or Launcher X's trash can), I get a message that they are read only.

How do you delete mp3 files from the memory stick?

I've faced this problem before.

I presume you use MS Import to move those files ? Use MS Import to delete them !!!

For some reason, files moved to MS using MS Import are marked read only and programs like Filez can't clear that bit..

The problem is that the files copied onto the MS is "read only" from the PC.

Filez may be able to change the attributes of the mp3 files from read only.
Otherwise, use MSImport and use your PC to change the attributes of the files from read only.

You'll need something McFile or Filez to change the attributes of the mp3 files. Clie Files doesn't allow you to do that. You may also be able to use MS Import.

N2ifp, your version of Filez let you change attributes of files in MS ?!

Yep - all the newest version of Filez can change the read only attribute.
