If so, wanna fill the rest of us in.
Thanks, Jay
yes, I got it working.
Are you still with your unit? Or given up on hope? J/K :p
The mpeg file has to be pure mpeg-1 format. & you have to rename the file name to MOV00001.MPG & put it inside the MS ROOT directory MSSONY/MOML0001/, this directory doesn't exist by default but you have to create it yourself. ;)
Then go inside MoviePlayer & choose the "mpeg movie format" then you should see the mpeg clip there. :p

This is what I have done, but still nothing shows up in the created directory.
Can you elaberate on the "pure mpeg-1 format"?
As always, Thanks Jay
Oh yeah, I'm still with it.

Actually, the mpeg may also be in DCIM/101MSDCF. This is where the cybershots store it's mpegs, even though the clie can only play it's 160x112 format, I don't get much use out of the vga as there's almost no compression on mpeg-1's and 5 minutes on vga would equal a freaken 128mb stick. But yes, it also may use the camera directory for mpegs.

See this thread for a solution that works almost every time from both MS and CF:

With these tools and instructions, I have been able to create an NX70V-playable mpeg from almost anything.

i just use image converter to transfer mpeg's onto my clie..
open MS import on your clie , find the MPEG file > right click > convert to clie , select the quality you want and bingo :)
