Now that I have my Sony camcorder, I can take my recordings on my Tivo, pipe them through the camcorder (using S-video and audio cables), then firewire it into my VAIO.
The question of the night is:
What format do I convert my TiVo'd stuff into when I pipe it into my PC? AVI or MPG? Recommendations for settings?
Most are cartoons. Others not. Some I want to watch on the PC. Others I may want to watch on a TV or projector. Others still are going to be converted to Kinoma format for Clie watching on my NR70V. And perhaps one day I may want to make DVD's from a movie here and there.
Any information will be greatly appreciated, and here is some stuff I'd be willing to share as PDB, once it's off the TiVo:

Futurama
Oblongs
Invader Zim
Cowboy Bebop (dubbed)
Clone High
The Critic
Undergrads
Gary & Mike
Fairly Oddparents
