I recently sent this message to Sony:

"Does Sony plan to release a Bluetooth or Memory CF Card, or drivers, for the Clie NX? I have the Memory Stick Bluetooth Card, but because it takes up the MS slot have no storage available for downloading e-mails"

They responded:

... We do not have information regarding Sony coming up with CF drivers. The Memory Stick slot is not compatible with other memory cards. If you are looking for extra storage, you could opt for the new Memory Stick Select Media...

I then sent:

Thank you for your reply. But could you explain to me what good having a MS Pro/Select will do for me WHEN MY BLUETOOTH MEMORY STICK IS IN THE MEMORY STICK SLOT? It would be pretty difficult to save an e-mail attachment to the Memory Stick when the Bluetooth module is in the memory stick slot :)

The next support wizard replied:

I'm afraid I have no information on any upcoming Drivers for the Bluetooth Memory Stick for the NX Series CLIE handheld.

THERE IS NO WAY THAT AN INTELLIGENT THINKING LIFE FORM WORKS IN THEIR SUPPORT DEPARTMENT!!! These must be randomly generated auto responses

This is really shocking!! The reply you received form Sony makes little abstract sense. These technical people at Sony are they for real! I recently purchased my NX-60 and found the Sony STICK ( this is real technical name, ha) to be allright but when I realized that the WinFi slot had the same configuration as a CF slot I was in disbelief that it wouldn't or couldn't be used for that purpose. Now that I read your account concerning the bluetooth stix and Sony's techinical answer I'm left with little hope that a CF driver will ever come to pass. I am sure Sony will never engineer it with their so called Technical Dept.

I had a simular experience with sony's tech support. I originally suggested that the SDK contain infortionabout the slot. They responded back saying that they'd forward my sugestion that CLIE handhends come with a CF slot to their engineers. I responded back to that and said that no, thatwasn't what I was asking. I asked to expland the SDK to contain the CF slot. They responded back with yet another form letter which said that yes they had an SDK and here is how to get it.

I understand that most front line tech support emails can be answered by a form letter. What pisses me off is when tech support people scan the email, see the word "SDK" and send me a form letter on how to get the SDK. I'm not a lasy person who doesn't RTFM first... I can't stand it when tech support people don't take the time to realize that I'm asking a different question.
