First of all, thanks to everyone who replied to my post about the strange error message and crashes I was getting on my new NX60. I ended up reformatting the memory stick, doing a hard reset, and reinstalling all the files from the original sources. I still have a ton of work to do re-entering all my registration keys, but at least the crashes have stopped and for that I am grateful.

I tried installing only a few programs at a time, to see if I could narrow down what caused the original problem. After I'd installed everything except TealLaunch and TealTools, I decided to try installing TealTools (after doing a hotsync and MS backup first!) to see what happened. I got my mystery error message within a few minutes. Also other strange things, similar to behavior I'd noticed previously: showing TealPrefs when I tapped TealEdit or other parts of the TealTools pack. I immediately deleted all parts of the TealTools pack using ClieFiles and did a reset. Since deleting TealTools, my Clie is working great.

I don't know if it is the program itself (it is supposed to work with OS5) or that it just doesn't like the other programs I have installed. Anyway, just thought I'd let you know what happened.

I'd be interested in hearing if others are running TealTools on the NX without problems. I for one will not be reinstalling this program or TealLaunch. For now, I'll stick with my individual DA's and McPhling, which is working just great!

Thanks again to everyone that offered help. I hope my discussion about corrupted databases didn't give ClieSource's database any ideas.

Very good on being back up, so your the one to blame??? :D

I use Tealmaster and TealDoc with no issues. Try sending an email to TealPoint support with your findings.

Multiple backups are cheap insurance and as you found out, the desktop is not an ideal backup. Experience is the best teacher... it can save a lot of hard work.

Thanks for the feedback!

Larry, I also use TealMaster and have had no trouble with that program. I only tried TealLaunch and TealTools because I was looking for a multi-clipboard compatible with OS5. I think I'll keep searching. LOL!

I will send an email to TealPoint. They are a good company and I'm sure they will do their best to find the problem.
