Are you right or left handed and how do you hold/operate your Clie?

There has been discussion in the past on this and some of us lefties get frustrated, but I'm sure everyone has their own opinion and methods.

I'm lefty, I hold the clie in my right hand and manipulate the jog dial with my index finger. I use jogpagehack to scroll full pages to maximize the effiecency of it all. I find programs designed for left handers awkward at best and unreliable in most circumstances, though I honestly haven't tried one in years, I imagine they have improved greatly. I've accustomed myself pretty well to the "rightest" world, even prefer to drive stick shift so I always have my strong hand on the wheel....

I'm a lefty who doesn't get frustrated. Hold the Clie in my right hand, use the stylus with my left hand.

I bat righty, but pitch with my left hand.
I play guitar lefty.
I use scissors with my right hand.
Go figure.

Other... right handed... clie in left hand.. stylus in right....

[SOMEWHAT ON TOPIC]
has anyone seen the "ring stylus"? it's actually a good idea. it's a ring that has a stylus built in... to use it .. u slide the ring towards the first nuckle and hold it like a pen. it's been a while since i've seen it.. but i'll look for a link

dude, all of the above apply to me too except for the guitar part. i play them the normal 'right-handed' way. kinda strange to play them lefty when most of the time it's your left hand that do most of the work.

I bat righty, but pitch with my left hand. ....

Bat left,
Pitch left,
Write left,
Eat left,
Play piano with both.

As an IT guy I have learned to be comfortable with using a mouse on the right side of the keyboard but keep it on the left on my own computer. My right-handed colleagues are not so versatile; many of themare totally unable to use a computer with the mouse on the left and the buttons reversed.

Well, JSP, this oughta make you feel good -- I'm right-handed but about a year ago shifted my mouse use (finger-tip trackball) from right to left hand. Had done too much damage to my right hand with an ergonomically incorrect Logitech trackball.

I now have "uni-hand" trackballs and shift them back to the right from time to time -- takes about 10 minutes until I remember I just am not comfortable with it on the right any more -- Don't like having to travel from the trackball clear across the number pad to get to the keyboard.

A regular mouse on the left would be difficult but truth is, I think I'd get comfortable with it (as comfortable as I would get with any non-trackball, which I've used for years) in a couple of hours. It's a shame more workplaces don't encourage mouse-shifting as a way to reduce repetitive stress injuries.

I wish I had been inspired to at least try a mouse on the left before being forced to. My right hand would have thanked me <g>.

Clie - right handed, Clie in my left hand, stylus in my right. Use a full-pen-sized stylus whenever I can (hopefully eliminating being forced in the future to learn to write graffiti with my left hand. . .)

I've heard the argument that right-whatever is superior genetics. Well, I'm right-brained which makes me left-handed! :D

Bats left
Throws left
Shoots right (eyesight determines that)
Kicks right
writes left
Plays golf right (Dad only bought one set of clubs for the three of us boys!)

Now that I look at the list, I'm kinda "in-between brained." Not as high on the genetic strain list as I thought! :D :(

Left handed, Clie in the right, stylus in the left.

Eat left,
Write left,
Play pool left,
Guitar left,
mouse left,
Bat/Throw right,
Scissors left or right

I am suprised as the number of lefties here. Seems pretty close to a 50/50 split.

Southpaw.

Do everything left, except mouse (touch pad) on right

I really prefer mouse on the left, but carpal-tunnel trouble made me shift a few years back.

I know there's discrimination against leftys. I'm just not sure it's illegal.

I used to have a hack that moved the Palm scroll bar to the left side of the screen. Very nice. Anyone know of an OS5 alternative?

How about for PageDownHack?

Here's a link to the fingertip stylus, the Stinger:

It certainly does appear that lefties have a disproportionate genetic inclination toward Clie abuse and geekdom! :D
