has anyone been able to succesfully sync a NX series with linux ???

i have redhat 8 and haven't been able to set it up the same way i set up my old venerable m105... i guess it has something to do with the serial/usb stuff

by the way, I use linux to get real corporate work done, not just a hobby thing... it's my primary workstation... so it's very annoying to reboot to windows just to sync and install new stuff... not to mention that i lost sync with my evolution data :(

thanx

PS: really great how i was able to transfer all my contacts and data from my old m105 to my brand new NX60 :D

I don't really have enough info to help. I'm syncing under Linux using USB, so it can be done, at least with some Palm models. I'm not sure if I confirmed that the NX series can sync using USB under Linux specifically, though.

Which sync program are you using? Try the relatively vanilla 'pilot-link' if you're using one of the others. I can make it sync when I can't get the others working.

As a last resort, you might try buying a serial cradle -- they do exist, I know -- and syncing with that. With the serial cradle, you shouldn't have any problems.

Works fine over here with a NX70V. Just make sure that you have the newest version of pilot-link (get it at http://www.pilot-link.org/). USB works fine (on the command line and with jpilot; evolution should work too), I have not gotten IR to work... I'll try that tonight.
