Does anyone know if the TJ series has remote commander? or if it even has the extended IR for remote control use? I own a T665 and the extended IR can be useful, and fun for pranks and such :) Thanks

Because this is a device designed for business users. As such, it has less of a multimedia focus than previous models. That's why there's no movie player, no Flash player, etc.

Every device can't have every feature. Sony could have added features that most of its intended buyers won't use, but they would add to the cost and take up precious memory.

I can't help but think how expensive it would get if they throw in the remote.

Aren't corporate presentations use AV equipments? Why not throw in BT so business users can remote control their PC and wirelessly connect back to the office.

So much for business users...

well, they need to have a TJ45 or something with a couple more features like the extended IR, installed movie player software, and a microphone. that would be great..... and only if it had VG too...

Yea, Could not agree with you more. Quite disatisfied with TJ35 now. Have been trying to install mobile messenger on my TJ35 and failed too. What is the IR port for? Who could pls. tell?

The IR is there to beam info from your handheld to a PC or from your handheld to another handheld. :D

try to add a second IR-LED maybe one from a tv remote. this should enhance the range
