I just want to make sure that I did everything right before I actually update my nx70v so that it can use MS pro.

First, I understood that there are several different update programs according to the region where you originally bought your Clie. I figured that out with the red lettered warning on the US support site. I'm in the US but my Clie will come from France (don't ask...). So I figured I should get my update from the european website clieplaza. There I followed support, compatibility/connectivity, updates, PEG-NX70V, MS Pro update program, download. Now, I've got this MSPro_NX70V.prc file on my PC but I also have doubts because the clieplaza website offers nothing else, no instructions, no read-me file, no nothing.

I guess people with experience in updating a nx70v bought in France (or in Europe it seems) could answer these few simple questions:

_ did I get the right file for my clie (that is region-wise)?
_ can I follow the update directions found on the US support site, using my MSPro_NX70V.prc instead of the MSPRONX_ENUS.PRC ?
_ if not, where can I find instructions on how to apply the update I downloaded.

Sorry for the long message, thanks in advance for your help.

Just HotSync it to the Clie's RAM. That's correct, if put the wrong one on, it won't work. System updates and drivers are critical, apps usually aren't as important. The last letter in the model number is the region. It looks like the right file, the Sony support site should have told which letters were applicable. You can look at the USA instructions, but the drivers may not always match up between regions.
