I was just looking at the pics of this unit and noticed that there does not seem to be a BACK button for the JOG dial. Did I miss something? I really like the BACK button and would not know why they would have left out such a Sony staple piece of hardware.

Good observation. I also wonder what the "HOLD" button is doing on the TJ25? The device does not have MP3 playback.

Look at the middle scroll pad you will see two arrows on each side of the "jog dial".. maybe back button is the backward arrow?

No 'back' button? That would suck.Or hey hey, maybe it works like the Palm nowadays, hold down the 'enter/select' button where the new jog dial is for a few seconds and it goes back

The hold switch is also so you don't turn on you palm in your pocket by accidentaly pressing an app button while it is off.

No back button. The left and right arrows work like pressing left and right on a traditional d-pad, and do not have the same effect as the back button in various apps I've tried.

I think the reason why sony did this is to make nesem easier. :)

The feature becomes totally useless if you use a case though...

I think you might be suprised at how many people keep their PDA naked. :D

And users complain about some PDAs, like the Zire 71 turning on via button presses even when in a case! The joystick-like center nav button protrudes far enough to cause problems.

how does Nesem play easier with no up and down buttons, and the jog?
does the jog just act as up/down?

lol is that why a lot of people have broken screens and cry out to get a new replacement? ;)
What I meant was the HOLD feature is totally useless if you have a HARD case.

hehe, i do! :)
well, it's my black and white T415, and it has a pretty hard backflip cover. i usually don't carry it around in a pocket though, only sometimes and not for long. most of the time it's either sitting on my cradle, in my hands, or in a special pocket in my bag (yes, i go to high school, and it's a pocket that was meant for cd players). so far i haven't suffered any reprocussions, so meh. :p
in a few weeks i should be getting the new Zodiac, mostly so that i can develop some games for it, make money, and get myself a decent laptop.
now, wouldn't it be sad if this forum wouldn't allow guest posting? hehe... i hope not. :D

no it's not true, I have hardcase on my TG50 with and use power/hold button normally .. it's not a problem to have cutouts for that ;)
