Way to display 320 X 320 apps at 320 X 480?

Is there a hack or other way to display apps that don't have virtual graffiti support at 320 X 480? I thought I saw someone mention this in a thread on here. I am mainly interested in using this on one program-lifebalance which is an outliner/to do list kind of program.

It's called HRfonthack, it works with some programs. makes programs hi-res, and full screen.

Couldn't find that on palm gear either. A google seach turned up only japanese sites.

I'm also a user of lifebalance (or was until I got my NR70 last month--not sure if I want to upgrade the app yet), and am interested to know if the HRFontmapper hack works. Most of the time, apps that aren't hires+ won't expand into the graffiti area when its minimized, so you end up with white space below the 'square screen'.

I just finished some tests with HRFontmapper. After the first tests it looked very promising but after several "deeper" tests i found out that i get Fatal Exeptions etc.

I think the problem is that if the application is not "HR aware" You get buffer overrun errors etc. So HRFontmapper my work for some apps but You have to try each to get sure You can use it.

It works with Pocketmoney!!! Yaya!! one of my favorite most used apps for my NR70v. Wow I can actually hide the virtual graffiti to show this program in hi-res+, the way it was meant to be seen on my NR70v. I hope this is stable, but by any chance did someone try this with Blazer yet? I think it would be very cool with blazer.

mrak, what programs do you get fatal exceptions with?

Let's get a list of compatible programs!!
I'll start:
1.PocketMoney, no noticable problems, probably going to be the main reason I am going to purchase this program.
2. Blazer, it runs smooth for the most part well....until you press the "unhide" virtual graffiti problem. Turns the whole screen blank, and when I hide virtual graffiti, screen stays blank. To fix this I just press "back" and then do it again. So far everything else seems all good and well. I'm going to play with the settings more...for instance you can set the specific app to open up as hi-res+ or simply hi-res.I am really excited to see this app. I hope it works well and if so, I can dump PocketLink2, it is REALLY buggy, even the newest updated one.

3. testing AIM v. 1.0, will keep you guys updated. Doesn't look like AIm wants to work. I can force the program into hi-res+ but I can't seem to IM anyone, it just says that the user is unavailabe.
Hmmm now I got AIM to work but it is still buggy, it doesn't like the hi-res+ very much. Guess I have to keep it 320x320 til AOL makes a hi-res+ version which they will NEVER do. hah


All programs under "Long Screen" I have set to
StartedSIze: Long
StoppedSIze: Norm

although I don't know what it means.?

Well, well......

I tried blazer and it seems to work well. I set it up so that when I launch it (blaser) it goes straight into hires+. I tried surfing a few web channels and it looked great. I noticed the problem mentioned by yOyoYoo about the screen going blank, but that dosen't really affect me since i don't need to input text that often when using blazer. If I need to, I'll use the keyboard (for google searches) or pop! (for usernames, etc). The other problem i noticed is that if you try and access the preference menu in blazer when in hires+, the screen will look totally messed up. Fix, is to access pref's in blazer only when in normal screen (not hires). Personally I think this little problems are nothing compared to being able to browse the net in full screen... amazing.
Also tried hrfontmpper with Acrobat and Snappermail.
Acrobat works like crap (FATAL EXCEPTIONS GALORE). Snappermail works great and makes it even more worthwhile to register hrfontmapper. I also set it up to launch in hires+.
All my other app's are native hires+... so i got nothing else to say:D

What program can I download so that I can write graffiti anywhere on the screen, not requiring the use of the virtual graffiti area? I think it was called graffitanywhere or jot or something? That way I can keep Blazer fullscreen in tablet mode and use the graffiti anywhere program to write anywhere on the screen.

I'm really glad someone posted this as I never heard of this HrFrontmapper program. I gotta run some more tests on it later, I hope someone can put up a list of compatible programs so the rest of us don't have to experiment with test crashes.

Graffiti Anywhere is one app that will let you write anywhere on the screen and even better is it's freeware. There are some others too.
