I am messing about with the new program called Month Planner.

It is a fresh, new way of looking at appointments.

You get a nice one month view onscreen (320X320 only).

Appointments appear as scratchy lines (about as useful as the week or month view in the default Palm datebook:p ). But the real beauty of this program is that you can have icons in the days on which there are appointments. If you have more than one appt. on a day, the icons cycle at a speed you select.

Drag & drop move/copy is a blast!

You can set it to pop up today's appts/todos when you open the program.

Only complaint so far - the time in the selected day box is 24hr and I see no option to switch. Going to bed at 2030 doesn't fin in my poor American brain. . .

Check this one out!

Hey,

Just bought monthplanner and the developer has released version 1.4. The new version displays time in the 'popup' day window in 12hr or 24hr depending on how your time is set in the system prefs.

Find it here at palmgear.com (http://palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&sid=BF9414D7-1305-461F-A4BABA40814EEB9E&prodID=52120)

Just thought I would let you know.

I just bought it, too. I like how fast it is compared to Agendus and DateBk5 -- I wasn't using all of their features, anyhow. I'm pleased to see the option of a 12-hour clock. The price is right, too. I think everyone looking at A5 should look at this, too.

I prefer to use one app -- DB5 -- that has a similar month view among it's many other views. However, if you're using A5, this is probably a nice complement.

I agree in having just 1 app, the month view in Datebk5 is good enough for me.

The color, rotating icons, etc., are very cool, but I went back to Date@Glance. 32K, works in Flash or on MS. and you can READ the entries on the monthly calander without switching views. Even on the UX50, small, but legible.

Just another one of those old reliables like Plonk. (I still kinda miss Co-Launcher, sniff!) These apps date back to Scotch Removable tape on the "Pilot" Grafitti area. And I hope they'll still work in OS 6!

As always, YMMV...

Wow, I got demoted to unregistered guest! Was I out of line? Is there some humiliating ritual involved in order to regain Junior Member status? Hey, I'm staying clear of the VB reply option!

Noodles, did you do that? Are you mad I don't care for MP? ;-) Aw man, no cool avatar for me?

Read you later,
Cary

Not only are you demoted, open your phone book and notice how your name is now gone.

What!! A non-entity!? Wow, they sure are stringent around here...

C'mon man, I'm a faithful Clie AND cat owner. That ought to buy me a little slack! BTW, how old is the kitten now?

Oh, wait - MonthPlanner is GREAT app! I bow to you, Noodles, for having discovered it, and I'm so grateful you have deigned to share it with us, the unwashed masses! There, enough grovelling for one night ;-)

Well I am still enjoying Month Planner. In fact, I registered it.

One of my favorite features is dragging and dropping to move/copy appintments or entire days. I was tired of fumbling around when getting dates synced with someone - "oops- what was that first time again-wait" or manually cutting and pasting items that a repeating entry would not handle.

The daily journal is nice.

Multi View is great for a quick overview of appointments and to-dos.

Try it if you haven't!
