I’m looking for a database program for the palm OS that I can export to AppleWorks on my OS X Mac (or maybe it’s own parallel, OS X compatible, database program). Fancy syncing would be nice, but is not necessary. Something that would just let me export/import as some sort of standard file format (tabbed text maybe?) would be great.

Thanks,
FishMan

Im not 100% sure what your talking about but I know of a good database software for the palm... Filemaker pro - Works for any handheld device and works on Mac and PC.

Try out HanDBase (http://www.ddhsoftware.com/handbase_palm.html?UID=2003100313300266.167.48.24)

The included desktop app allows you to read/edit files in AppleWorks.

I use FM Pro for local databases and am looking into getting this when I upgrade to a new Clie.

Unfortunately, FM Mobile does not support SD memory cards. Databases can really fill up your memory fast!
