Just downloaded and installed it. Biggest bug fix is that the Sony Jog Dial on my NR70/U woks great now.

Also, there are 2 new sets of Icons, but the oringal sets are gone. I wonder why?

I'm liking ML 4 all the better each day.

Is the new megalauncher missing frequency setup and the archiver? Brian

Yes, the menu selection for frequency setup was taken out. There is not a specific archive function as we knew it to be in 3.2.2, but there is a drag and drop copy application to memory function which includes a check box for including data. There is also a copy data at start check box when you hold your stylus on the app icon.

I forgot to add that you can access the copy application feature after holding down the stylus on an app icon. The copy application function also allows you to move the app and data.

Am I missing something?

I try to be fair, but ML 4.0 is unacceptable:mad:

I installed v. 4.0.2 to give it another try. I froze my screen twice in the small icon view. One of the bugs I reported to megasoft2000 while beta-testing it. Can someone please explain to me what megasoft did on ML 4.0 between b4 and the release?

It seems there are a lot of the reported bugs unfixed. Not even one suggestion has been integrated. I really don´t understand what is going on at megasoft. :confused:

Doesn´t seem they care much about ML 4.0, so I´m asking, why should I do?

I installed ML 4.0.2. Upon running it for the first time, it scanned my Clie as part of its setup. Fatal error. Upon rebooting, it seems to work. I had this problem with 4.0 and 4.0.1. They have not put the archive and frequency (for use with FastCPU) functions back in.

All I can say is that it works flawlessly for me on the four units that I have tried it on.

I had the same problem - while scanning for programs after installation I had a fatal reset, but since then it seems to be working well. Nothing to write home about though.......yet. ;)

It´s the new high density app icon of DateBk5 (c, p6), designed by DesingbyBert. It looks really awesome! Unfortunately you have to run a OS5 machine or..............ZL;)

Oh. I have ZL and Preview 6 was messing up my device so I took it off. I didn't nothice the icon at the time. I only have OS4.1:(

I´m not sure, but I think I remember that there has been a problem with the first version of p6. I didn´t see the new icon with it. The next day I read on the yahoo forum that there was a fix for some trouble with p6, but the developer didn´t want to call it p7 because it was merely a little bugfix. Maybe you want to give it another try!

I am still trying ZL and LX. Seems ZL has more features so far, but not done testing yet. Facer is a no go as an ML replacement. Still to look at is Launch'Em (I used to use it), HandScape, and LauncherPlus I guess... We'll see.

I have tried ML4.0.2 and after installation, it reboots and then works fine. I downloaded all the Icon sets from 4.0 (1-7) and they all work so I wonder why they took them off. What I have had problems getting to work are the available skins. I only downloaded one to try and maybe downloaded the wrong one for my screen (T 665c: 320 x 320). I do miss the archive because it allowed one to save space, but I can always dump to the MS.
Curious though. I tried to move Vindigo to the MS to free up some space temporarily,(must be temporary because it won't sync while on MS), and received an error message: "This file is system one or copy protected. You can't complete this operation. Yet in ML 3.2.2, I had no problem doing so. Does it somehow know that it won't sync and is saving me from making an error?
Love being able to change backgrounds for each category. Makes each screen unique. But this App take a lot of space, and I don't have skins loaded yet.

Same here and every time i run "Refresh Apps" it also crashes. At first I thought it might be related to MSMount being enabled, but it still crashed if I disabled MSMount.

Other things: It doesn't support using the jog dial or back button to launch alternate apps with a long push. This capability was enabled in beta 4, v3.22 and every other launcher I've tried. I use Slowlaunch to launch several apps in tablet mode using the jog dial and back button.

After using ZLauncher and the hi-density zoomed icons ML's icons are just ugly.

Looks like all they did was strip functions out of ML3.22, added hires+, and I assume OS5 support, failed to fully debug and released it. They never should have abandoned their beta program on this one when they did.

Tixx, have you checked the option to use hi-density icons in ZLauncher. This is one of the best features of ZLauncher's many. I think they are the only launcher that supports hi-density icons in OS4. One tip. apps with hi-density icons that are on MS have to be moved to RAM for ZLauncher to select the hi-density icon. You can then move the app back to MS and the hi-density icon remains the default icon for the app.

I have ML3 regitered and wth every new version of ML4, I am happy that I have registered. Every version has worked well on my NR70V, also the beta version. It has color AND picture backgrounds, App icons can be changed (I am doing that to my Mac-icons, so it´s´like coming home to me... :-))) ), it is fast and hires+. Just wait another 3-4 weeks, and nifty people will be making icons, backgrounds etc... So why should I register another launcher?

You shouldn't. If you are happy with ML, there is no reason at all to consider any other launcher.:)

Tried ML4.02 and whilst scanning, it crashed. Restarted and rescanned again. It hung!
Did a reset and the CLIE did a hard reset on me! :(

I think I'll wait for the next minor bug fix...

Nikki205, I have the same problem but with JackFlash.  I move it back and forth between my MS and my RAM since there really isn't any reason to keep it on the RAM but it will crash when I run it from the MS.  3.2.2 would do this with out any problems, and I found that MS Gate will still do this however I prefer to do it with ML since it is quicker than having to wait for MS Gate to scan the entire system.  I also tried with another app, though for the life of me I can't remember what it was even though I just did it thirty minutes ago.  It should have worked and didn't.  I emailed Megasoft but haven't had a reply yet in three days, and this version didn't fix the issue.

I tested ML4.0.1 on a business trip this week, and wrote a review in WordSmith which I posted to PDA Avenue (http://www.pdaavenue.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2090). FWIW, I didn't suffer any crashes, but was not impressed. I registered ML 3.2.2 and used it for over a year, so am very familiar with ML's features. I hope others may find the review helpful.

ML 4.1 has been released. But still have some bugs. May be not bugs. I can't set to default launcher ML4.1. When i reset my Clié NR70, can't restart ML4.1, clie return Default palm launcher. How can i solve this problem, is there any other application like called "resetback". Do you remember syncback.?
