View Full Version : hacked driver takes more space than EW?

I haven't seen this covered elsewhere - I'm a registered Eruware user, but I'm thinking of changing to the hacked drivers.  My main reason for doing so, is that it's a (small) pain to put the EW driver in Dual MS mode to play MP3s.  I've tried using the hacked Audio Player, but it doesn't see the CF without me using Dual mode.

Anyway, the EW driver takes up ~35K on my NX70, but the hacked CF drivers seem to take up ~195K.  The size would be more comparable if CFUtilityEN.prc (152K) weren't needed, but I don't want to test this since I've just had to reload all my software because of an (unrelated) crash.

Does anyone know if the hacked CF works with "only" CFNULLinf, CFSlot, CFSlot_hack, and CFStorageLib installed?

Thanks,

Thanks,

From CliePet's original instruction, you only need CFSlot.prc and CFStorageLib.prc. These 2 add up to 26K.

I can say from experience that using AudioPlayer 3.1 and SonyMMUtilLib.prc (both from the English UX50) with the 3-bit hack makes for perfect MP3 playback on an NX70.
