If you own this case, how much bulk does it add to the unit. So far this seems the really be the only option for a UX50 Case. Also, if you're currently using this case. Would you mind posting some pictures.
Thanks
if you can't post them.. then email me at PontVenom@aol.com

My friend is using Sony case, or at least he did for a week until growing tired of the bulk. I choose not to buy this case after seeing the bulk and realizing one must remove the case to recharge UX50. I can't imaging putting UX50 w/Sony case in my pocket. I'll wait for another option.

I am using the case. It adds little to the overall bulk of the unit. I like the case, but it has to be taken out for charging, which I don't like. Also, I am considering the extended battery and not sure if it will still fit once I add the extra battery to the unit.

I am using the sony case. While it does add some/much bulk (too much for your pant or shirt pocket) it adds a lot of protection. I like the ux in my front slacks pocket but 820 is too big of an investment to not have it protected. ($820= first Monday out at best buy + warranty..... I know....I know, I could have gotten it cheaper if I waited, couldn't wait)

I'm using the sony case as well. I agree with you all that it adds the bulkiness but it does protect the unit pretty well. I don't want to wait for a few month for someone to come up with a good one while there's no protection for this expensive toy.... that's why I settled with sony case. Oh, and it has the biz/credit card slot or for other things while the other brand (currently) don't have.

Here's an early thread I posted on the case with a link to pictures as well. While I like the quality of Sony case, as others have stated, it does add a fair amount of bulk.
I can carry my UX in my pants back pocket with the case, but generally choose not to due to it's added thickness in the case. As for charging it, I really don't mind having to remove it from the case to do so as it's a split second process with the slide clip that attaches it. I don't believe it will accomodate the extended battery either.
The case "is" perfectly suited for protection while traveling, or placement in a brief case to avoid scratches. As stated it also has slots for business cards and a spare memory stick.
Hope this helps, check out the following link for the thread: http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=26042&highlight=Techstyle

Enjoy...

Does the Sony case for the UX50 have a belt clip? I'd prefer that to carrying it in my pocket.

Bluecatz,
No it doesn't have a belt clip.

Nothing new added here: the sony case has great protection value, but it's bulky. It's also a little akward to hold and use the UX.
I don't exactly use the OEM PEGA-CA40, but was seeking to purchase one, but it seems that it's not much difference from the current one that I'm using, just one of the regular off the shelf.
But I've been considering choosing other slim soft leather suade covers just to keep it from dust & scratch while it's in my bag or somthing, & want to keep the slim size. I just love the feeling of the UX when it is bold without the cover on my hand, such compact size. :D
